Epic Speed line, a Triple Diamond DS model, which was a draw-biased model that was a completely diff head and not just weighting differences in the heel.

I have one now, a 9 degree with Tensei White 1k.  I haven't had a chance to hit it yet (shoulder injury) but plan to soon.

Can’t wait for the Elyte TD Max release. Should be a nice upgrade from my Paradym TD.

Elyte standard is like 3 mph faster on swingspeed than smoke.td max...same shaft, same swingweight.

I had the TD then went to the TD Max and saw little to no distance drop off. Just launches a hair higher (1°) and spins a little more (200rpm) resulting in less roll in softer conditions. Still have the occasional monster drive with it same as the TD. I think if it’s that much slower for people… it’s probably just a bad fit.

Hopefully they run the same 200% trade in this summer. If not, suppose I can wait until they hit CPO this winter. AI TD Max is still treating me well. I’m more a fan of glossy black drivers so I really only want the Elyte because of how much cleaner the crown looks.

Sounds perfect. I’m between 9* and 10.5* with my preferred shaft and it’s due to spin. 9* gets into too little spin at times while 10.5* can occasionally give me some spinny drives and is a tad slower. I think a 9* with a little more launch and spin would be perfect.

i saw the rep in store yesterday day.  He said 4/4 and left handed will only get 9 degree.  As a lefty, I hope he is wrong lol  and special order a 10.5  lol

Ai smoke td max at 9 is as fast as the elyte td at 9 +1.

Yeah I stayed in 10.5º from TD to TD Max then just tweaked the weights to get spin and launch back down to where they were with the TD, with the added benefit of more forgiveness with the TD Max.

played today in Florida 

used a 10.5 td with a ventus red 6x

Phenomenal!

 

on a side note

not an apples to apples but by far preferred it to a gt3 10 degree with a Accra tz6

Is the previous triple diamond max more forgiving than the triple diamond?  What about accuracy as well?

Heard from a friend who tested the 3d std and 3d max today. Regular 3d not crazy low spin 2300 or so (what I saw as well). Mid spin 2600-3k with the the 3d max. Both more spin for this tester vs last years offerings. Similiar 1.48-1.50 efficiency and good launch like his gamer at 110 chs. 
 

Again just one test by a close buddy. His gamer was just as fast and better spin profile so he didn’t switch brands. 
 

i liked the regular 3d and was very intrigued by the 3d max since my gt3 is a little on the edge at times 1800-2300 but not sure I have the stomach for another $900 build. 
 

looking forward to hearing more testing/comparisons from others!

They have them on tour at least. So they do exist. Agreed that they should at least release some lefty heads at retail for the limited drop, especially if they already have them on tour.

The 4th can't get here soon enough so I can take back the GT3 and get a TD max, the ai smoke TD max was much much better than the GT3 for me so I hope the Eylte will be a touch better than the smoke. 

Tried the GT4 and now the 3 and just not talented enough to get much out of them, perfect strikes are great but I don't see a lot of those as a rule. One more round with the GT3 before the 4th so maybe I will find something, but i am not counting on it and instead of going to the GT2 (where I should have started) just go back to Callaway which has always worked well for me. 

 

Love the GT FW woods, point and shoot.

Yes, they do indeed exist on tour and on the USGA conforming list.  I just heard no LH with the limited retail like the way they have operated before.  Again, hope I'm wrong.   I do indeed miss the days several years ago when everything they did was offered in lefty.  Gone are those days.

They released the mini driver in both lofts in left handed with their limited retail release.

Tinkering with both the elyte td and the smoke td max both in 10.5.  Really like them both but have to go +1 loft in both heads bc the face angle in NS is so open. Imagine the elyte td max will also be pretty open face angle but would love it if it was a touch more square.

I’m really trying to wait for the triple diamond max. I’ve tried the elyte triple diamond on demo days twice now with  great results in 10.5. 
My only concern is some toe balls were very low spin. 1700ish. I’d like to retain some spin so they don’t dive out of the air. 
Center strikes were around 2200rpm and heel strikes were 2600-2800. 
 

Im a crazy? I was hitting the triple diamond so good both days.
