Well i already bought 10 shafts 4-lw. Got them for $300. Not a bad deal and if i don't like them I know I will be able to sell them either as is or put thwm together qith a set of irons. Right now I am enjoying the px io 5.5. But who knows what future holds.  I am drilling over a set of jpx925 forged right now.

Got my heads in, waiting on shafts still, but just looking at the heads, dang what a piece of art. I feel like they are lying to me about the specs…i know there is considerable offset but I cant see it…same with topline. I know its mainly due to the black finish, but still impressive. Its like a Mid handicap iron in a players package.

 

The only negative i can say is the sound difference in 8-p and 5-7. Bouncing a ball, the 8-P are very low pitched and feel really soft even compared to a endo  callaway x- forged head I also have, and bounced side by side. The 5-7, on the other hand have a higher pitched tingy type sound. Its not something that will bother me but just not ideal, at least for some im sure it would. Man hoping the performance matches the looks!

I know what you’re talking about but at impact they sound great. There is not much of a difference in feel and sound. The 8-P feel a little mushy in a good way and the 5-7 feel fast and like you can’t feel the ball at all. But there’s very little difference - you have to pay close attention to tell.

Worked mine at the range today. I'm not hitting the ball especially well right now, but these irons are great. Plenty forgiving, very accurate. They put out what you put in, but with a lot of wiggle room for little mistakes. They go plenty high and dispersion was superb. Playing 9 holes tomorrow, looking forward to it.

Right. I know it doesnt translate to hitting a full shot and compressing the ball. I had 223s so I didnt mind the transition. Its just if I HAD to be critical of something, its that.

I was concerned about that too when I bought them so I know how you feel.

Currently  in 923 Forged/DG 105
 

Mizuno demo day today at my home course.  Ended up buying. 925 Forged  5-GW 925 Forged with Nippon Modus 120 and Mizuno T3 wedges in 54 and 60.  Fitter suggested the heavier Nippon shafts and I really liked the results.  
 

I thought the  925  7 demo iron felt a little harder than my 923 7 iron. but was a tad more forgiving. I felt the 925 Forged got through the turf  better, probably due to the leading edge relief on the 925 F.

 

Will post full review and 923F comparison when I get them.

So back on here and I’ve already figured something out…everytime I play I’m gonna come back on here and report how bad azz these irons are, how forgiving they are, etc. Another 18 holes down today and despite my poor driving on the front 9 & crazy 25-30 mph winds, I managed to shoot +9/+3.  The irons performed great on flushed shots and better than expected on less than great shots. EXCELLENT Job again Mizuno Golf!!!!!!

Another round on Sunday.  Here in the Atlanta area it rained 6 out of the last 8 days, super soggy. 

 

Front nine I hit 8/9 greens.  I was 4/4 with the 925.  The one I missed was super fat with a SW.

 

Back Nine I hit 5/9 greens.  One tee ball in the water and one basically popped up, only 7 chances after that.  5/6 with the 925's.  Other missed green was a short wedge shot I left just short of the green.

 

These irons are great, I have not been this confident in a 5 iron since I was a 0-1 handicap, hovering at a 4ish right now.

Just picked mine up today. Black withe Steelfiber 95, the color combo is awesome.  Tennis and golf elbow made this purchase necessary and coming from rifle project x mp63"s, I thought they may be very loose, but boy was I wrong. The Steelfibers are super stable, plus the black color really hides the thicker top line and more offset. After playing 2sets of mp63's for 15 years I'm hoping that I'll be able to commit to these long term. So far good start.

What version of the steelhead. Thoae x14 steelhead where the first new  irons I ever bought.

Doesn’t add that much time. I’m betting that something might be back ordered. I had a set I ordered and the icon ferrules were on back order for like almost 2 months. I didn’t know until I called after not hearing anything at week 3.  Luckily I caught it and changed to stock ferrules and got the set like 4 days later.

Nothing special on my order. All stock except the lie angle.

If you ordered a gap wedge it is back ordered until September and the mmt 85 regular shafts have been back ordered and due to be in hopefully by the end of this week (they were supposed to be back in stock end of May but missed that ship date)

Wow, thanks for that information. I did order a gap wedge. 
 

At this point I may just cancel the order. Disappointing
