The sole shape looks very nice too, luv me sum tri sole!  The tech in these has me intrigued.  Ping i530/TM790 levels of forgiveness, but in a small package(non-hollow bodied) with lots of forgiveness and ball speed built in.  If these have that Mizuno feel and sound, this could be a killer.

 

I like how they left the face grey on the black model, should definitely help with wear.

 

Anyone know when fitters will receive these?

Really tempting.  Currently gaming JPX 825 pros.  The 925 forged soles look very similar and I’m hoping the feel will be as well.  I’m thinking of a 5-GW set, with the 7-PW bent a degree weak, but will need to see what yardages and flights I get when I demo them.   I’m also going to look at the new Srixon zx5 irons.

I’m a big Mizuno fan, but those just don’t do it for me.  Maybe in person they’ll look better.

Toe on the black looks so small. Wow. This is likely the closest I'll ever get to full face player irons. Making me second guess the Blueprint order. 🤔

Just happened to walk in my local golf shop today. The Mizuno rep was there dropping off the demos. Said I was the first in Texas to hit them 👍 

 

I tried the 2 piece long irons and the one piece short irons. They are both so so good. Long irons felt so soft. I was afraid they wouldn’t. But could hardly tell the difference between the two. The black model is so sexy. Makes the top line look super thin ie T100 thin. The chrome model looks a bit thicker since it’s not hidden. But it’s definitely an improvement over 923 Forged by a mile. In feel and looks. More compact too. The tie cut sole is beautiful and I would love to try it outside off grass. 
 

needless to say I’ve got my fitting scheduled for the end of the month and will be ordering a set asap of the black forged

Wonder how these compare to the ZXi5 from a forgiveness standpoint?   I’ve found the ZX5 MKII to be very forgiving for it’s size…

I'm comparing the same two models myself- I will be hitting the mizuno's tomorrow and will report back!

Same….i have a brand new set of ZX5 MKII and patiently waiting on a set of the Black 925…pretty sure the 925 are smaller top line and head (head to toe) as well.  In comparing my 925 HMP to the ZX5 the HMP are smaller sole and top line, head size is slightly smaller too

Looks like turf interaction would be top tier. Never been a fan of black irons but in this case the black looks better than the standard.

I wonder if these will be much less forgiving than the HMPs. Doesnt sound like it based on the marketing…

This is pretty fascinating. HMPs much better out of the tour. Marginally bigger sweet spot, but pretty close all around.

These heat maps really are cool.  My miss is toe side these days, so it has me a bit concerned.  The HMP just looks a bit too pudgy in pics (havent seen it in person).

I have the exact same opinion. Really could do with the slightly increased forgiveness, but I really like the sole design and the way these forged look.

Forged set looks great. Just wish they did them in something near traditional lofts. 34 degree 8 iron is crazy and I noticed they're also a quarter inch longer than normal.

I’ll take pics later tonight to show HMP vs ZX5 MKII. HMP are smaller
