Got to hit the 7 iron today and really liked it.  Pretty sure I’ll be ordering a set.  
 

I only saw the fitting head.  I’m curious if the blade lengths get progressively longer in the long irons?

Not trying to drop negativity in here or anything because I've always been a Mizuno fan and a fan of the JPX forged stuff since they started with it many moons ago.  But, what is up with their iron shaping?  It's so roundish and spoon like.  I've kind of noticed it in the last few years, but these pics above really showcase it big time.  To me, I want to love this line, but I can't get over the shaping looking down....why Mizuno, why?

Any thoughts on the gap wedge?  I'm considering the the T1 ,T3 and the S3 in a 46-48 degree to fill the gap because of the copper underlay and the cost is the same.  I ordered the 925 forged 5-pw  on Thursday and want enough feel in the wedge end.

I haven’t hit mine yet other than “chipping” in the house with them. But they feel great doing that.

Mizuno has always been round shaped especially in the pitching wedge. I agree though I like the top line of then zxi7 better.

I have a fitting Wednesday and this is certainly a possible outcome for me. I’ll report back.

My local club champion doesn’t have the 925 heads yet so my fitting got pushed two weeks. Whelp

Bummer.  Mine is scheduled for next Friday.  Gonna try and stay open minded but I'm really hoping these are a good fit for me.  So many things going for them:

 

The blended transition with tons of feel in the short irons.

The extra pop and forgiveness in the long irons without being clunkers

The leading edge bevel

 

I'm too old to be this excited about a golf club

Found this little tidbit from MGS:

"The blacked-out finish is what Mizuno calls a premium PVD. The finish goes right over the soft white satin, a rougher finish that allows the PVD to adhere better. The face is a lighter gray thanks to a face blast so it won’t show impact marks."

I'm sure that we will find out some more specific details, but this is the jist for now.

A couple people on YouTube mentioned specifically that it’s not a black coating that goes on after but it’s actually forged into the metal during that process for less wear. I wonder where the truth lies. I also notice that on the product page on the Mizuno site it calls it black ion not pvd. 
 

Edit: here’s one example. They start talking finish just before the 6:00 mark.

I've been gaming 825 Pros since they came out, and these intrigue me, especially the matte black finish. The very round look to the scoring irons for the 925 seems more pronounced than what I notice in the 825 Pros. It was really noticeable in a T22 wedge I gamed for a while. Maybe I'll just stop at the PW if it checks the other boxes.  Looking forward to hitting these to judge in person.

What numbers are people seeing with these? With the strong lofts wonder how far these fly! Someone with around 90-92 mph 7iron swing speed.

This is a clip from AskGolfNut's 90mph swing testing. The spin might look scary, but he doesn't spin any iron very much.

Check out the AskGolfNut videos on YouTube. Great comparison at multiple swing speeds.

92 MPH with a 7 iron. I was getting about 182-185 carry. I ordered mine to come in 1/2” short so hopefully I’m around 172-175 carry. May go 1* weak if they are going too far. 
Mine came in yesterday. I am having my installer put in black KBS $-Tapers in them (since Mizuno didn’t offer them) so hopefully I’ll get them and can hit them next Friday.
