Walked 18 yesterday with the new VP4s.  Not a bad shoe, but nothing to write home about.  First of all, they are very thick.  They will be/are easy to clean.  I see these getting pretty hot on the foot this summer.  Plus, looking at them while they are on my feet, they just look big.  Personally, I don’t see this as an every-round-kind-of-shoe.

Normally I wear the AM 90s for most rounds and Infinity Tour 2s when it’s wet outside.  I think I’ll stick to those.  Just my .02 cents.

Funny you are the first one to say this. I had the baby blue and was fired up about them. Thought they looked even better in person. Later that night tried them on and was like damn these are thick. I ended up returning mine couldn’t look down at the thickness felt like I had DC skate shoe on. Probably an exaggeration but still not need for them to be that puffy

More thick than the Jordan 12s?

So trying to hold out for the pros but since they never seem to actually be releasing on Nike looking for some opinions. Currently wear infinity tour next. I like the cushion, but have been wondering if I'd prefer something more stable. Planning to try pros and maybe tours. Wondering if the infinity 2 are than much less stable and if should just go with those or if the tours aren't to firm. I have tried the frees but they are slightly to firm for me.

They are thick for sure.  I wear a 13 and they do look that way but not so much I wouldn’t wear them.

Totally understand.  The first Victory Tours (Rory shoe) that came out with like clown shoes.  The new 4s are much better.  I really wanted to like the VP4s, but they are just not for me.  I don’t know…maybe in the fall and winter when I wear long pants.

I am getting the feeling that we are not going to be able to freely purchase the vt4’s (u know like how normal companies sell products for $ and consumers buy them). They are all but removed from Dick’s/GG website, TGW, and forget about the Nike app. If they ever decide to send inventory out most likely it’ll be June or July by then. Kinda pissed at this realization.

I’m gonna take a lucky guess that this all has to do with the new tariffs situation.   Being that Nikes aren’t made in the USA, they are probably having issue getting them in.   Just a guess.

Nike has had trouble the last few years hitting timing targets on major releases...

I feel like someone on one of these threads a couple years ago stated that NDC is more of a buyer of Nike products like Dicks and GG, and not an arm of Nike directly. And different buyers buy different stock of the shoes. NDC is almost like a separate entity entirely. It is why they don't always have all the shoes/shirts/pants/etc that seem to be available; they only buy what they think will sell the best, same as Dicks or GG. Although I think for Dicks and GG, it is the same inventory source, so buying from one is like buying from the other, at least with respect to most stuff.

Managed to squeeze in a quick 9 after work today. Gave me the opportunity to test the VT4’s in dry and sunny weather.

What I do like about them:

These are one of the most comfortable golf shoes I have worn in a long time. Straight out of the box the leather feels soft and supple. Saw some posts about the leather being thick and warm, but I can’t agree with that. Must add that it was only 70 degrees outside, so maybe I’ll come back on this point after I played a 90 degree summer afternoon round. There is enough support around the ankles and the footbed feels soft but stable. The course I played has 120 feet of elevation but the shoes didn’t become uncomfortable for a single moment. The sole is flexible when walking, but feels sturdy during a golf swing. Don’t know if it’s the carbon flyplate or just a good overall design. The spikes provide plenty of grip of soft fairways and rough but can be a little slippery on harder turf. The leather is super easy to clean. Had some grass marks on both shoes (see first two pictures), but it came of really easy with a soft cloth and some warm water. Third picture is right after I cleaned them. I also like how they look. Sporty, clean and classic golf shoe that doesn’t just look like a dress shoe with spikes. Haven’t worn them with shorts, but they look great with some slim pleated pants.

What I don’t like about them:

After hole 1 the creasing on the top was already visible. This got worse after the next 2 holes. It is best visible on the first picture. Personally I don’t mind creasing, but it could be a dealbreaker for some people. I also don’t like the thin laces. I feel like they slowly came loose after every few hundred yards. Had to tie my laces at least 5 times during 9 holes of golf. The leather around the swoosh has this sort of open end grain (last picture) that has no dye or coating. This part will probably be a dirt magnet when playing muddy or dusty courses. But for me the biggest problem with these shoes is the price. Don’t get me wrong, these are one of the best Nike golf shoes I’ve worn in a long time, and I have owned around 16 pairs of Nike golf shoes, but $190 for golf shoes made in China just feels overpriced. I think $150 would be a fair price for them.

All in all it is a super comfortable golf shoe, maybe even Nikes best golf

shoe yet. They look good and are easy to clean. I’ll wear these the coming weeks to give some long term findings.

Never owned these, but to me the VT4’s just seem to expensive for what they are: mass produced golf shoes made in a Chinese factory that probably pays workers $6 a day.

I'm so shocked by people's feedback on the VP4's.  The teal ones just came in an on first try on, I couldn't be more excited.  Super comfortable.  I have wider flat feet and sometimes require a wide but not usually in Nike.  I took my regular size 11 (same as TW13, which the comfort remind me a lot of).  My cross to bear with every shoe is achilles blisters, so these won't officially pass the test until i've got 72 holes walking in (i walk 100% of my rounds so comfort and durability are huge for me).  The heel cushion feels plush and even more padded than the TW13 which is one of the rare shoes that has caused me almost no issues.

This reminds me of a beefed up modern version of the Roshe tour, which is awesome.  The lacing system is top notch and locks my foot in place.  One thing i couldn't disagree more with is their thick appearance.  For me, this is hands down the best looking shoe on the market.  I plan to get it in 3-4 colors depending on drops.  Hope this helps and happy to post more feedback after my first few rounds.  Myrtle trip in 10 days and these will definitely be coming with!

Love all about mine just need to make sure I have heel tab socks or no-shows that come up over the heel.

my 3rd round in them had some real low no-shows and I got a little rubbing in the heel.  No blister or anything just an annoyance that I could feel.   Other than that I do love mine.   Love the Carolina blue colorway.

after seeing your comments i ordered new socks as a precaution, nothing worse than getting caught out there and feeling blisters coming when you have a good round going....i usually use the FJ tech socks but i went to the cushy bombas golf socks for some extra protection.  hope that does the trick.  so bummed there wasnt a masters colorway drop for these too

Try some of teh Nike running socks that have like a heel tab from the back, it should prevent any rubbing

Buy the Nike Unicorn ADV sock and thank me later.  Most comfortable and cushiony sock I've had.
