I was in our local Dick's yesterday trying on some of the VP4s, and the sales guy told me that if I found something that worked in a Nike, that I should buy in the next day or so, as they had been informed to swap tags this weekend. Could be just a local thing? YMMV

The coolness factor wears off for me. I don’t want to buy US Open edition shoes the week after the US Open. Something about them looking dated to me or something. Definitely a “me” issue.

So, if you are able to buy them prior, do you not wear them after the tournament?

I honestly don’t buy them unless I can wear them the weekend of the tournament. I’m weird.

Agreed VERY small, I ordered 10.5 from Nike when they dropped and fit more like 9.5 - 10. I really like the colorway but Nike is sold out now. Then, got an email that GG just dropped the same color for $155. Stopped by the store and tried them on again,went with the 11 this time.

Just tried on the VP4s at Dick’s I am typically a 10 in Nike but they were tight 10.5 fit well. How are people liking these that have been wearing them for multiple rounds?

I’ll just say again, the PEs are wider than the standard VT4. First pair I tried was the PGA, now the U.S. Open. Definitely wider.

Finally got my hands on the VP 4 (white/black) up here. Just as advertised, comfy right out of the box. I’m an 11.5 with all my Nikes, and this is no different. They were snug when I put them on, but by the end of 18(walking), they were perfect👌🏻

I caught that one of the ladies was wearing these same shoes during the USWO a few weeks ago…I wondered the same thing….

Those are customs with the Jordan Nu 1 midsoles.  

 

As far as modern basketball shoes go, it's the most popular casual basketball sneaker that Nike has, but trailing behind the more popular Adidas AE1 and Lemelo Ball's MB series (but this one is mostly kids).  Booker does play golf, so there is a connection.  But ultimately, I don't think the market would be all that good. 

 

Nike has such an easy win with Kobe golf shoes.
