I don’t know anything about engineering or manufacturing, so this is an honest question that is not meant to be controversial…….. is there a business reason they would choose NOT to do the tour rack for lefty heads? The heads are already available, so I’m always left scratching my head when companies do this.

I’m guessing this is because the Tour Rack molds are slightly different than the regular molds. They stated that the reason the Tour Racks are $20 more is because they use a different, slightly larger mold than the regular wedges, because the regular wedges get coated while raw wedges don’t, so the molds have to be different sizes.

They likely don’t already have the lefty molds because they’re different molds than the regular lefty wedges, and unlike with righties there’s not enough sales volume to justify spending the money on it.

Ah. I didn’t read that but that would make sense. Thanks for the info!

True, the molds probably costs more money than the sales they would generate.

Side note to the RTZ wedges- are we expecting new Cleveland CBX wedges in ‘25 with the new Z Alloy?

Seeing at most retailers that the CBX4 are discounted now

I would think that would be 2026.

Just interesting they are all on sale, including on the Cleveland website, usually a sign new stuff is coming. A guy can hope at least lol

It’s been a year since the CBX4 was released so maybe they are trying to push sales. Personally I would love a new CBX wedge with the grinds of the CBX Zip with the z alloy.

What is the adapt all about. I use M grind on Vokey, is this similar?

I actually ordered the 60 adapt Tour Rack and it showed up yesterday. I’ll post pics if there aren’t any up yet but it’s softtttttt. I hit about 15 shots on Trackman and was blown away by the feeling of it and the consistency of the launch and spin. Have yet to get it on actual turf but I’ll try to this weekend.

A little less bounce than M grind in a full face wedge. It’s a great looking grind though very versatile.

Went in and tested the new RTZ 60 degree with Adapt grind. Currently play RTX6 wedges with mid bounce throughout and they have been excellent. Was REALLY excited about this new grind option as I like to open the face around the greens and get creative. No question the leading edge of the adapt grind sits closer to the ground which is excellent. Overall wedge is good looking as well.

However, I just am not a full face groove kinda guy. I find it almost promotes more of a toe strike for me and do not like the look. Maybe it was an off day but compared to my existing RTX6 my spin numbers were not nearly as consistent given my strike seemed to vary more. I wished they offered this grind without the full face. They feel a little softer but I didn't mind the feel of the RTX. I previously had Vokey SM9s which were great but Clevelands offered a little more spin and control.

Was totally prepared to be blown away and walk out of the store with a new 60 but put it back on the shelf and will likely continue to use the RTX6's this year.

Did you try any of the other grinds, or just the adapt?

Dropped by Golf Galaxy today so I could see these in person. A few notes:

1. I really dislike the polished strip bordering the back of the club on the regular RTZ. It looks fine in renders and in photographs but in person I was really put-off by this ring of mirror finish on an otherwise satin club. It's a jarring choice on what is otherwise a clean, elegant design.

2. The RTZ Tour Rack looks really, really nice. The Tour Rack finish is noticeably darker and more matte than the satin, and it doesn't have that polished/chromed ring that I dislike on the regular wedge.

3. The shaft upgrade (from DG Spinner to DG S400) might be a good reason to go with the Tour Rack (assuming you're buying off the rack instead of going custom). This is obviously personal preference, but the RTZ Tour Rack w/ S400 feels much better to swing than the RTZ w/ DG Spinner.

The RTZ Tour Rack is probably the best-looking wedge I've ever seen. Still, $189.99 is an eye-watering sum to pay for a wedge. The thought of spending $600 USD after tax to replace my three perfectly good Wilsons is enough to buckle the knees of all but the thirstiest of club hoes. That's "new driver that I don't need but desperately want" money. That's "finally admitting I can't hit a 4-iron and getting a 4-hybrid instead" money, and still having at least $350 left over.

Probably going to save the cash and invest it in something that will really improve my game: players' irons that I'm not skilled enough to hit.

I am the same wrt the full face look. Also currently gaming the RTX6 so think I will stay put for the year.
