Callaway Elyte Ti Fairway Woods Info

I just looked again today and it still shows on site the same way when I asked.  @etodd posted the fwy comparison chart showing just 3/3hl as adjustable, but the specs below have the 5 as adjustable.

I would think the demo's should be hitting the carts soon with them shipping out at the end of Feb.

You would think it would be important for Callaway to make sure the specs that are listed be correct the first time officially listed on their own website. Just comes across as unorganized & reflects poorly on them in general. Mistakes like incorrect specs should not happen.

I called Callaway support with this exact question and they confirmed the 5 wood is adjustable.

I’m too impatient, so I preordered the G440 4w.  But if the 5w is indeed adjustable, I may need to have a fairway wood battle.

I ordered the 5 wood with the assumption it would be adjustable. In any event the Elyte Ti 5 wood will be battling the Cobra DS Adapt LS 5 wood for the spot in the bag.

I am lost between getting either the new G440 fairway wood 3 & 5 or the Elyte Ti fairway wood 3 & 5.

 

I got the G440 Hybrid 4 already.

I ordered a 5wd to try behind the 340 mini in my bag. Ordered with the belief the 5wd has the same face angle as the TD and it’s adjustable.

Went to an event at my club that had the big 4 OEMs plus cobra. 
 

Was looking forward to trying this but unfortunately they said they’re all scrambling getting the Ti fw to the fitters. 
The TD was fine but nothing too different from last years. 
Did try the G440 3 & 4 wood and qi35 core 3hl and came out very impressed with both

I ordered a 5wd with Aretera 85X on 1/31. I knew there was a good chance it would be back ordered, but the original ship date was this past week. Then it jumped to March, now it’s scheduled for this week. Hopefully that holds up, I’m excited to try this one.

Ooh, same setup for me. And I also want to try the Aretera, although I'd prob go with the 75x. I'm going to have some store credit in a few weeks and the 5 wood is top of my list. Hopefully, more reviews coming soon.

I’m still gaming a COBRA F8+ 3W which has been hard to beat from both the rough and the tee, but I’m hoping one of those two new offerings will be able to replace it. 🤞

I like the looks and the reviews so far on these but dang, they are $450.  That is getting crazy for a fairway wood IMO.

Well, I placed an order this morning from Carlsgolfland for the Elyte Ti 15.0 with the Aretera 75X. Seems they had ordered that exact spec to stock for their store, so i'm jumping a little ahead of the custom order line. Definitely paid a little more than I wanted to, but guess that's the price of no patience haha. UPS label was just spun up, so I should be seeing it early next week! If I like the shaft i'm definitely going to be looking at the EC1 Grey 65X for my driver. Same feel as the blue but more tip stiff. Sounds great!

Ti 3w came in yesterday and took it to the range last night. Initial impressions.... Yep, it's hot. Ended up going N+1 to close the face just a tiny bit and get maybe a little more launch but i'll be tinkering. Took the head weight against my GT2 13.5 and they're very close for being 30cc's different. Like 1-2g from what I saw. I really like the way it sits behind the ball and still has that large size, but a little more shallow than the 13.5. I also tend to like something with an alignment dot/line so this was new for me not having that like a TD head, but I still hit it fine. The feeling off the face was to be expected. Very good.

 

For the Aretera EC1 Blue 75X, it definitely feels more load-y through the middle than a '24 Ventus Blue 7X. Gonna be comparing those two over the next two weeks or so and make a decision and stick with it. Overall just maybe a little more loose feeling from a timing standpoint in my swing, but i'm also very used to the VB 7X. Wouldn't say it isn't stable, just in my hands it felt like a S+ from the profile, and the dispersion was nice once I figured it out. Nice high draws and a few bad balls that still flew well. Impressive.

elyte Ti is stated at 170cc so the GT2 is close to 200cc? Did not know it was that large. Thanks for feedback.

Are you able to share a pic of the face to get a better idea how deep/shallow the face looks?   Do you know what kinda launch you are getting out of it?

Not sure on numbers. I'll have to rent an hour or two on trackman... Definitely high enough haha. Like nothing out of the ordinary from what I usually see out of a 15.0 fairway at my speeds. X-stiff like 110-114 with the driver usually. As far as the face, I have three 3w's in my possession right now so here's a face comparison (best I can do, I know the angle isn't great):

 

Elyte Ti 15.0

Stealth+ 15.0

GT2 13.5

 

I'd say it's still pretty deep, like definitely not a PING G440 Max/SFT FW face. Those are super skinny. I don't have a TD to compare to, but as many others have mentioned, it's like a middle ground right between the standard Elyte and the Triple Diamond. I'd say the best of both worlds if you want good launch and lower spin.

Confirming the 5 wood is adjustable.

Demoed the Ti 3 wood outdoors this PM.  Shafted with Aertera 75 Stiff.  Feel and sound were good.  Launch was mid and probably related to the fact that my mere mortal swing speed do justice to the Aertera 75.  For comparison I also demoed the regular Elyte with stock Denali.  Super easy to elevate, long, lovely ball flight.  Ended up leaving with the Elyte and leaving the Elyte TI for the big boys!

Definitely take my brief review of the EC1 75X with a grain of salt. Still need to do some testing, but overall just feels like it's really made to launch through the middle. I probably made it sound softer than it actually is. Feel was great and especially smooth at impact. I'm a few mph slower than you as well so take that for what you will. I don't think you can really go wrong with it if you're looking for a mid/mid "blue" profile, i'm just inclined to lean Ventus Blue 7X based on what I've gamed this past year or so, but we'll see.

So even though the order stated 4-6 weeks, received my 15 degree 3 wood with Aretera 75 stiff on Wednesday (1.5 weeks) and hoping to get out to the range today or this weekend.  For reference, currently playing the AI TD 15 degree and swing 105-108 with the driver.  More details coming - hoping all I am hearing with a mid high launch holds true, will post some pictures of the AI TD in comparison to Ti.

Given it's significantly lower upcharge, it's worth taking a flyer on.

Personally, I gravitate to shafts with more stiffness in the midsection but I've gotten along REALLY well with EC1 75X. I have a very similar swing speed to you.

My 5 wood I ordered a week ago should be here tomorrow or Monday. The Callaway website said 2-3 months...

 

I also just ordered a triple diamond 7 wood with the Aretara 75x for fun, even after I have sworn multiple times that I'd never buy a bonded fairway ever again 🤷‍♂️
