Really like these, but not a great fit. My set will go up on BST as soon as I figure out whether I want to list them with the Steelfiber 110 S I ordered them with or Axioms 105S I have laying around (kill two birds one stone).

What issues did you encounter? Lofts too strong? Not forgiving enough?

Based on early reviews, these seem like GI irons. Personally, I'm waiting on the MB to release.

I don’t think that Max Homs would be using game improvement irons. He has a 4 iron of this. If can tell you first hand these are not game improvement irons.

I’ve played T150’s, T200’s and T300’s. I got back into golf 3 years ago (now playing off 5) and had T300’s which are game improvement, then shifted to a mixed set of T150/T200.

The problem with game improvement is a lack of predictability when it comes to distance control. They can get a random flyer off them, so while they are forgiving, you don’t get the tightness of grouping or predictability of distance. With a MB, you get the predictability where you middle it and it goes the same distance, but no forgiveness.

These clubs are smaller with a T150, have the consistency of players iron, but your off centre hits are incredibly forgiving, but you don’t get the random hotspot and flyer. I’m getting 5 yards less off mishits, which is pretty astounding.  The other thing that’s incredible is the consistency of spin so matter where you hit on the face.

COBRA, already a pioneer in introducing 3D printing to the golf world, proudly presents the 3DP, the world's first 3D-printed steel irons. So revolutionary is this construction that COBRA can make one seriously remarkable boast: the 3DP is the most forgiving blade-shaped offering on the market, combining the compact looks and soft feel better players demand with the forgiveness, stability, and CG properties of a game-improvement iron.

The 3DP's 3D-printed internal lattice structure is the driving force behind the iron's rare combination of traits. This unique structure reduces the head's weight by a massive 33% compared to traditional cast or forged clubs. COBRA's engineers strategically repositioned the discretionary weight savings in the heel and toe, utilizing up to 100 grams of tungsten. The result is an iron that belies its size, delivering performance benefits once reserved only for significantly larger club heads.

COBRA KING 3DP Tour Irons Feature:

  • 3D Printed from 316 stainless steel
  • 3D Printing allows for a muscle-back blade shape and player-preferred soft feel (similar size and shape to KING TOUR) with the mass properties of a game-improvement iron
  • Internal lattice structure creates discretionary weight that allows for up to 100g of tungsten in the heel and toe for a low CG and extraordinary MOI, stability, and forgiveness
  • Lattice structure also fine-tunes acoustics to produce the most appealing sound and soft feel at impact

Many pros play a GI in 3-4 iron, that is not uncommon. These are just bigger than what I want and since we know the MB exists, I’ll wait until Cobra releases those.

If I take the Titleist range, they don’t. They play the T200 on long irons which is tour distance, not game improvement. I would guess that zero pros use the T350 range which is game improvement due to the offset.

But we don't know they exist, we know they were made for at least one tour player. That's the thing about 3d printing, it gives them the capability to make just 1 or two sets for someone.

That said why go to the trouble of stamping mb or os on the club if its just a one off thing. So i suppose we will see.

Same.  I have a srixon utility as my 4 iron which is actually larger than a current game improvement iron.

All of the players distance irons for the most part are close to the smaller game improvement irons in size, loft, and construction.

Got a 5-PW set with MMT 125 TXs en route.  Hopefully they hit stock swingweight at the standard lengths.  Been playing the original Srixon Z545s (originally SF 110 stiff, now S300s) as nothing has really seemed like a worthwhile upgrade.  I'm hoping these do the trick.  Hit the Limited 7 iron and it felt great.  Never hit the 125TXs so hopefully they work for me.

Ive played the Limit3d model which should be the same as these and they are awesome.  However they are not blade like if u are looking for the titleist MB or 620CB feel.  These compare favorably to my gamers, Mizuno 245 but a bit more compact.  they are extremely forgiving and very long hitting.  I

Anyone know if these can be adjusted like other irons? I am wondering if adjusting loft/lie would impact the internal structure at all. I've seen some used sets, but knowing I want to modify them has held me back.

you can adjust them normally like any forged club

Cobra has no plans to release the MB's. They were created for certain tour players

The market is too small for them to produce these in an MB

I have two vacation rounds in with them; my first two rounds since injuring my shoulder in late December. I’m also making a switch from Modus 120X to MMT 105TX, so that it a much bigger change… also, everything is on Bermuda, which I know next to nothing about, and it’s Hawaii, so higher winds.

-I was wrong about them being softer than ZX7s. Indoors they feel softer than outdoors. They still feel softer than T100 if memory serves.

-They definitely sound like a stainless steel club when they’re in the bag.

-It is a different kind of forgiveness. It’s almost like it’s better to be 2 grooves low than 1 groove high. Toe and heel shots as long as you’re on the right groove are super forgiving.
-They seemed to have enough stopping power. This was a downwind 8 iron to 180, with a 2023 ProV1.
IMG_0498.jpeg.3b4e211aea6d013a45eced289b715fd0.jpeg

I’ll be back stateside playing my usual course this weekend. Hopefully get a little more feedback for everyone.

Kinda off topic. But ur mention of feels/sound indoor vs outdoors instantly reminded me.

My son was getting fit for irons. So on a whim I decide to try a new driver. Guy puts me in a G400 Max… Long story short, the 1st time I hit it outside was the last.

Enjoy that weather! We are finally out of the cold snap here so when you get back it will be regular Washington weather and the courses will start getting real nice soon, we will have to get a tee time of WRXers soon.  I had a chance to hit these the other day off of a hitting mat and they felt great, forgiveness reminded me a LOT of the p790s but with a better sound, feel and shape. The offset is a bit much for me but overall extremely playable, the price just kills me. I think I’m going to be grabbing a mixed set of the Zxi7s/5s soon pending testing some Bettinardis MB24s and waiting to see what other 3D printed models come out by the end of summer.

That’s so disappointing. I was hoping to have an all cobra bag this year too with the new driver and wedges that are coming.

I’m not sure there would be a lot of benefit to a 3D printed MB. The whole purpose of them 3D printing for players like Max Homa is to customise to his specific requirements. It would just be a really expensive MB.

Probably not the strongest take ever on the GI. They’re about like a ZX5 in the frame of a ZX7. They’re in Danny Willet and others bag as well.
