Which Driver????

Driver A : very consistent flight with great looks ; very hard to turnover which could be good or bad. Length is possibly longer

Caveat is I'm not playing much nor have a ton of speed so splitting hairs here.

 

Driver B: much, much easier to turnover,  feels MUCH better but dispersion isn't as good primarily to not as comfortable with a draw flight. 

 

Could play either but just asking my brethren......

First driver if you play a lot of individual tournaments. Second if you only play for fun. I believe your average will be better with the first driver but you can have fun cranking the second.

Driver A. Sounds like you don’t have to fear the draw/hook which should free you up to go after it hard.

driver C. find the best of both worlds of A and B while going down the wrx rabbit hole. just my two cents.

Driver 1.  The driver that's easier to turnover can go south in a hurry as a draw can turn into a hook in a blink of an eye.  At least you know with driver 1 that the ball will not go left which means you can take the left side outta play.

can we know the two set ups for both driver A and B? Sounds like a shaft recommendation could be made. probably some help with @phizzy30's insights. if not you know your game best you might be dialed with one of those setups.

Ok , I'm a lefty btw

Driver A is 10.5 Qi10 DOT head with Diamana ZF50R at 45.5" 

Great looks , anti-right with THIS shaft ......with OG Ventus Red 5R dispersion wasn't as tight. 

 

Driver B is a 9* A.I. smoke max lofted up 1 degree ...... current shaft is 60R Silver reign from LAGP 

Not bad on shape but SOUND/FEEL is to my liking. With sliding track and face closure straight and draws are FAR easier to count on.....anti-left as far as hitting block shots but still able to hit cut shots.

 

I think we all know that distance gains won't come from drivers ......pretty much speed gains or spin reduction. 

I'm actually a low launch and low spin player at my paltry speed of <90mph

i have a similar "first world problem"

2 drivers, one is longer, but dispersion front to back and left to right is noticable larger. the other one with a shortend shaft and some more mass in the head feels rock solid and produces constant baby draws or baby fades based on daily condition. if i hit 20 shoots with each, the average carry is better with the shorter one, just because of the tight dispersion.

result for the bag, if there is space in the bag and I am playing a course with wide fairways, I simply carry both drivers. Otherwise the longer stick stays at home.
