TSR2 8 Degree Driver Fade Bias?

I recently picked up the 8 degree head switching from 9 degree.

This thing launches and spins way lower, which is great, but wants to fade like crazy.

I'm having a really hard time getting the face to square up, similar to what I've experienced with triple diamond heads in the past.

Just really interesting since I didn't have this problem with the 9 (I've tried the draw settings too, not a ton of help)

Anyone out there experience this?

Don't want to rain on the parade, but stated loft on a driver and the actual loft can be different, tolerances are in play. I've seen it more than once. Back when Titleist brought out the 905S, I bought a 9.5...my best driver. Anyway, when I was having the shaft installed, had my guy measure the loft, it was over 10.5. Had him stop work, contacted Titleist CS, they said send it back, we did. They sent me a new head that we again measured, 9.6, which was acceptable tolerance.

There's also this: Numerous people want to hit low lofted drivers, but don't have the swing speed or consistency to nut them. A degree or more open, you have a fade to slice. My guess, it's your mechanics and or the shaft or loft is maybe lower than stated. Low lofted 7, 7.5, 8' drivers require a pure strike, no forgiveness. Years back I used to play a competition RL.Zeidler Absolute 8*, 288cc head with Composite Dynamics x - HP/M 78g shaft (in storage), it had no forgiveness.

Maybe try setting it on A2 or D3.

Could the lack of loft at address be changing your swing dynamics? I have the TSR2 in 8 and it’s very neutral for me. Even heel strikes go remarkably straight.

I don’t feel like my 8° TSR2 is fade biased at all.

I am assuming it's a mental thing for me then. I rarely fade at all, so this is a bit of an odd one for me. I will tinker some more and see what I can come up with.
