If you're talking about the product page on the Titleist web site, that's been up there since the limited release in 2021 or so...

Whereas the 21 and 23 V1 versions had a very low trajectory for the compression category, the 25 is radically flipped, to the point that (at least for me) it’s almost indistinguishable from the X. It would certainly make sense to have a 2025 Dot version, even if it’s just left over 2023 inventory…

Shame on titleist for this.

Yes, they keep this old page up for marketing and to make suckers like me (and perhaps others) excitedly pay extra when they bring this out.

The website is REGULARLY updated, so they easily have bandwidth to take the left dot page down, but instead leave it up probably on purpose...

Last time they had a release of the left dot, it was the same price as the others in the Pro V line, so I'm not sure why you're saying shame on titleist and complaining about the web page forcing you to pay extra.

They update their website extremely frequently.

Why obviously, intentionally leave a webpage up then other than to create buzz?

The tour speed page has gone up and down over the entire time period - one day there may be another tour speed, but they didn't leave that page up.

If you look on eBay, a dozen left dots are going for exorbitant prices.

Where do you see it?

I clicked on the drop down, and then balls, no left dot

They aren't in stock so they don't show up on the "for sale" page, but there is a product page for them if you start at the link below you'll see a picture of the box, which you can click on for more info.

Others on here have reported that if you go on the ball plant 3 tour, you have the option of buying a dozen left dot at the end, so it makes sense that they still have a product page for them.

As for creating buzz, they aren't advertising the left dot anywhere... you have to go looking for the product page.  I added my e-mail to their "notify me" list a long time ago and I've never gotten an e-mail from them about the left dot, so again, they aren't "creating buzz."

Lastly, are you really mad at titleist for the prices people are reselling them for on eBay?

Especially since it’s a ball, that most golfers won’t score any better with vs a pro v1.

Of course. It's the same as certain people getting mad at Costco when sellers on eBay sold the original OG KSig's way above retail when first released.

If I was able to buy the left dot @ retail on the Titleist site why wouldn't I sell them to the sheeple brigade for the stupid prices ($200/dozen) people are actually willing to play for them just to shoot 87?. 😁

I think it's a very fair point to just stay with facts.

It is true that for its limited release time it was same price as ProV1.  It is true that it is going for exorbitant prices on eBay (while regular prov1 and v1x are not really).  The reason it is doing so is supply and demand (can we agree on that ?). I would not necessarily denigrate the collectors or people that are interested in securing the ball, though that's my opinion.  Personally, I would not buy balls at that price either.

I would also affirm that few to no players are likely to shoot much better with left dot than a standard proV1 (or probably many other balls).  Whether it's 87, 67 or 107.  Not sure there's any reason to condescend someone's skill set based on their opinion of a golf ball / its release.

But returning to a final fact and leaving the topic more open - on a website that is updated super frequently, why leave an old golf ball up for years?  It is very clearly intentional, since the golf ball line is updated (in the form of tour speed going up and down, etc).  My theory is at the very least to intentionally maintain some buzz about the ball / reinforce its current rarity.  I don't think it is nuts to think so, but am interested in other suggestions too.  I would say it is factually incorrect to say they are leaving it up by accident or that is an oversight.  I should disclose I do not work for Titleist or any other golf club/ball company and am a bit surprised at the vitriol - this is just a golf ball webpage that is intentionally being kept up folks.

Unfortunately there’s no conspiracy here. As someone previously mentioned, it’s a ball they still sell, just not through their e-commerce website. Last ball fitting we had at my club, the fitter had left dot. The good news is If you don’t have access to purchase left dot through an authorized retailer, you most likely don’t need them.

Where is it currently being actively produced and sold by Titleist?

Not sure I'm convinced if one happened to be available at a ball fitting at some point at a club.

"If you don't have access, you don't need them" - nice group of folks here - must be something they put in the water, or just a secret of the pros.

Which pro shops are actively stocked with left dot?
I think it’s fair to say the ball is not available to 99% of the public and titleist knows that.

Again, if they were available to more folk, the ball wouldnt go for $150/dozen on ebay.

You can buy the ball at retail prices and go through the fitting process and the left dot fits you.  This makes it a custom fit retail option with limits availability.

You can also purchase a couple box’s at retail prices if you take a ball plant tour, but that’s really it retail.

you can’t just walk up and buy them at a pro shop.  You either need to be fit into the ball, or have a pro/fitter that will order them n your behalf as being fit for the ball.

Regarding getting fit for the left dot, does anyone have any success stories in getting it done? I’ve done titleist golf ball fittings before and they won’t offer it.

Define success?

yes I’ve seen it fit.

i did not personally fit into it. (175-180 ball speed, 130 apex driver, and 2500 ish spin with prov1.

How I asked about it during a fit, and it’s pretty niche.  Generally need to check the box of very high ball speed, very high ball flight, and very high spin for it to be an option they bring out.

I've done a few fittings and talked to a different fitter from the ones I've worked with and all of them have said they weren't given any of the left dot for fitting purposes.  And, they make it sound like even they have a hard time getting their hands on the ball.  From the few success stories on here, my guess is that you have to do a fitting at a fancy private club with connections or at a Titleist facility.

Agree.  I also think Titliest’s philosophy is most player don’t hit it high enough, or spin it enough to maximize performance.   They want to steer people away from people who try to get the xtra distance at the cost of boderline low peak height and spin.
