Maxfli irons?

Spicy. Wonder if it’s a collaboration with Maltby as it’s listed on golfworks. Visually appears to be a design crossover between TS1im and TS3 irons. They looks sleek and will probably have an excellent MPF and price point

The sole reminds me of TS3. It's 1025 forged with ceramic, tungsten, a toe weight and fits .370 and .355. A tinkering beast.

Wish they would come out with a modern version of the Maxfli Australian blades.  One of my all time favorite blades.

Britt's reply to the new Maxfli irons

 

As most know we are owned by Dick’s Sporting Goods and they do own the Maxlfi brand.  They loved the models we have done recently and to make a long story short, we helped them with the design.  There design team modified the back cosmetic and we made it work to maintain the high level playability.  The TS3 was the base model to create the CX2 and CX3.  CX2 is very close to the TS3 and the CX3 has some sole width and topline modifications and a other minor changes.  The ceramic (CMC) internally is something we were the first to use and it is used internally to displace weight and allow for optimum positioning of the mass to enhance or improve playability.  Co-forging with the tungsten is a part of it and also something we use in our TS3 and TS4.  We will be building all the Maxfli irons, stock and custom, at our facility when they are launched in the spring.  We can’t release the exact specs or any product detail since it’s really not our product.  I’m sure details will be available relatively soon.

Really not seeing any reason to buy these over Maltby considering the TS3 and CX2 are essentially the same club as described by Britt from Maltby and they’ll be building them as well. Sure you can go test them at Dicks and Golf Galaxy, but the upcharge compared to Maltby isn’t worth it.
 

At least you know the YouTube reviews will come pouring in and, in my eyes, that will just be validating for Maltby. The TS3s are the best out there right now.

Talk to a guy at Dick's yesterday.  He said they will be out late spring but not at his location.  Apparently they will not go to all stores or at least not the small ones.  Surprising since they own Maxfli.  I would think they would be in all their stores.  He also said retail price will be $999.00.

Nice to see the Maxfli name back in irons. But I think they missed the boat not offering a P790 style iron with an Australian blade design....maybe next time.

They have the XC2 which is a players type profile and has a 43* PW.  The XC3 is the GI iron, but also shares a 43* PW, but the loft structure is different between the 2 sets:

the only difference in the spec of these sets is the XC2 has a 4 iron and no AW and the XC3 has no 4 iron and comes with AW.  All the lofts, length and lie angles are the same.

Topline will be thicker and sole wider in the xc3.
