Fitting Mini Driver vs. Driver

TLDR: What ball speed gap are fitters seeing between driver and mini driver?
 

 

Ok, here’s a question about fitting and results of a mini driver vs normal driver in terms of the difference between the two. My issue is that I don’t think I’m seeing the separation I should be- which is probably more mechanical than anything. But then I wonder if I’m looking for a gap/gain between the two that’s unrealistic. 
 

Ti 340 Mini

13.5@ 11.5 with the strong cog

Ka’li Blue 65X (actually ended up with this shaft when Callaway made an error in the order)

Standard length

14g front, 2g back

Averages

165-170 BS (172 max)

3300rpm

13.5-14.5 launch

170’+ Apex

280-285 carry

 

i like the club, feels great, tendency is to lose it left(I’m right handed). I know I have a dynamic loft problem because I can get this to 200’ apex. The carry is ok with me, there’s little to no roll because of the descent angle. Here is the issue

 

Elyte 3D- This is a huge step up over the AI Smoke 3D for me. Way more forgiving and consistent spin across the face. Maybe 1-2mph faster on average

9@ 7 or 8 (still playing with it)

Aretera EC1 Blue 65X- First experience with the shaft, I can fit into a “Black” profile but I hate the feel. This shaft feels great and I see now difference in launch/spin vs a Venus TR Black or AD VF

My main concern is the lack of a ball speed increase. I’d expect 6-8mph gap between the two but I can only manage 3mph. I say “only” and I realize the numbers aren’t that bad. Maybe that’s not even realistic,  But of course I want as much out of it as I can. I realize I have some issues with the launch that need to be addressed, but here is my question:

 

What ball speed gaps do most fitters see between the Mini Drivers and normal Driver?

I’d say look. At quality of strike between the two.

 

Assuming swing speed is staying the same between the two clubs (it “should” a little faster with with the longer club) one would expect 1-1.5 mph ball speed gain for every degree of loft.  So if the is 4.5 degrees difference between  of loft we would expect about 4-6 mph of balls speed difference.
