Mizuno T1 vs Vokey SM10

T24 have more offset and are bigger overall than SM9.

 

T24 feel softer, less clicky.

T24 are bigger than sm9? I play T24’s and they seem pretty small. Can’t wait to check out the T1.

I agree. T24 are the smallest profile on the market to my eye.

I got fit for the T1 and previously played SM10 and SM9. T1 definitely has a shorter blade length but the more compact size is not all that noticeable at address. The feel of the T1 is miles better/softer. The turf interaction is probably better as well but that will probably come down to your bounce/grind preference. I wasnt able to compare spin. Id say if you want feel and precision go T1, if you want a bigger profile go Vokey.

Can I ask what grinds you got and how you're liking them? Will be taking a chance on the T1's this year. Will be my first Mizuno wedges.

I haven’t received them yet but I went 50.08S, 54.10P and 60.06X. I had 50.12S, 54.12D and 60.08M in vokeys previously. The grinds are pretty similar to what I had in the vokeys just a couple of degrees less bounce. I really liked the strike and turf interaction with them. I felt like I didnt miss the sweetspot the whole fitting until I hit the T3s. 
 

As long as you arent intimidated by the size of them you will really like them.

Love the size and shape of the T24 head. That's what really got me thinking about Mizuno wedges. Thanks.

I absolutely love t24’s. Comes with a great shaft and grip. They do it right. V grind on my 58 is money.

I hit the SM10s and T1s in the studio.  All stats were identical except T1s created 3mph more ball speed and 600 RPMs less spin.  I was hitting Vokeys at 10,800 RPMs and Mizunos at 10,200 RPMs.  I prefer the T1 profile which is smaller and cleaner.  Dispersion was tighter on the T1s and I agree that they just felt better.  I’m going to get the T1s in 52.10, 56.12 and 60.06.

Yup got 2 rounds outside and alot of sim time in with them. Love them. Perfect head size, super soft and they spin a ton. The lob wedge with the low bounce is my favorite. Paired with the new pro v1x everything has been checking up beautifully.

Another contender in the wedge hunt is the new Cobra King Wedge with the MiM tech they feel very similar to forged

Any updates with more rounds under your belt? Needs to upgrade from T24 (worn) and thinking T-1 or SM10.

Ya all my initial feelings have all been confirmed, these are definitely the best wedges Ive ever owned. Incredibly soft, a ton of spin, great turf interaction with the bounce/grinds I chose. The clubhead is nice and compact for precision but not intimidating at all.

Always been a Vokey player, but now realized that Vokeys are not forged unless one finds the Japanese models. The next time I update my wedges, this might impact the decision and Mizuno is a candidate no doubt.

Bump, can anyone provide insight into a 1:1 direct match (T-1 or T-3) for the Vokey D grind?  Specifically in a 54 and 58?  Thanks in advance!

That would be the P grind or M grind depending on what loft/bounce you want.

In the 54 I find the T1 P grind fairly similar to SM10 D but what I’d term a little more agile with slightly narrower sole.

 

the 58 I don’t find any T1 similar to D. I think the T3 M would be closest.
