Looked like a couple of Sahith's wedge photos got into this thread originally but have been removed.

 

Have to imagine it'll be really hard to get Rory and Scottie out of the Qi10 dot heads this season after the way they have both driven the ball.

This bag has basically been unchanged for a few years. A vokey comes in and out in the 60. He has tried and different 4 iron but it never sticks. Driver changes but the does for everyone..

Came to check out Rory's WITB but the thing that made me happiest was the Might Ducks logo on Jake Knapp's bag! Childhood memories flooding back.

It looked enormous for me when testing! Much preferred the look and shape of the LS. I think they've got the LS back to being a beast this year, the Qi10 LS was not great IMO. I'm not sure whether it was because I was indoors under the lights but I feel like the light grey carbon makes each of the heads look even bigger than they are...

According to reports from a few weeks ago in Dubai for Rory the issue is the launch windows

 

Rory was testing the Qi35 driver and fairway woods in Dubai. With matched specs to his Qi10's, he found that he was launching it a little higher. He wanted a bit more time to test and get used to hitting his launch windows before putting it into play.

Seemed like the Qi10 LS had the hooks, no? A lot of guys I remember fighting the lefts last year on TV.

It’s been touched on here in the last couple weeks. It’s the norm for pro. tennis players use past model racquets painted to look like the new model. Still surprised it hasn’t leaked over into golf. 
A Qi10 painted up/disguised to look like a 35 would be a trip. It would sure add a fun lil twist to these WITB threads! 😜
 

 

*def not insinuating any “fun lil twists” are needed. Greg already blurring the lines between fun & professionalism 😁

If he didn't have the his St. Bernard cover, i'm sure it would be a Qi35 cover just like the fairway haha. I've always been frustrated with that, but I get it... More marketing exposure for wandering eyes.

I think the big change is the shaft on his highest lofting wedge and not bending a 58 back.  That wedge shaft is WAY softer than his previous project x 6.5.  It seems to me he also went from a 58 bent back a degree to 2 degrees then went to a 60 over time.  Not sure if the bounce/grind has changed though.

Same thing in hockey. Pros will play a stick model from previous releases and CCM/Bauer etc will put the newest release graphics on it for the public.

Yea, mod squad hockey is one. It's not really as big as deal in hockey because equipment plays a much smaller role than golf. Other than sticks and skates,  it's just whatever protective equipment you have. 

 

Sticks are the closet resemblance to golf equipment and even that's mostly pick a curve, kickpoint and flex.

Of course they are… they one get to pick one piece of equipment instead of 14, yet they still could only manage to call it a “stick”. 
 

Plus, their “stick” is only one component. They get to pick, what? Curvature and blade length? They can’t trick out their “sticks” with overpriced grips and ferrules or aftermarket shafts to impress their friends when they hit the ice. How many boutique hockey stick companies are there? They don’t even get to choose their own puck, so at least they get options on skates, I guess. 
 

Golf is pretty unique in regards to equipment. So many options for everything you use or touch during a round. Multiple components for every club, countless options for the ball we play… that’s not even addressing the bags, apparel, and accessories. 
 

There are more options for a golfer in every aspect of the game than any other sport by a wide margin, so of course some of us are going to geek out about it. We could even show up for a tee time looking like Jason Day if we wanted.
