It’s not like they’re going to force him into the new model. Morikawa played the OG Sim for how many years before he switched?

 

I’m sure they would like to see him in the latest and greatest, but as long as he’s winning with TM equipment in the bag, he doing his job for TM more than well enough. Most casual players/viewers aren’t going to notice the difference anyway.

It was just wildly low spinning and unforgiving. They seemed to have made the Qi35 LS a lot more stable with the fixed weight ports rather than the sliding one. I did a lot of testing with the Qi10 drivers and the only way I could get it to spin at 2000 was the 10.5 lofted right up and paired with the Kai’Li Red shaft. I’ve always played low spinning driver heads but the Qi10 was too far the other way for me!!

Rory is swinging the Qi10 dot head.. I dont know what the difference is but it is different..

There are a bunch of social media accounts but they get a tonne of information wrong and just talk about the graphics without REALLY diving into what it is. A few forums like MSH still have some discussion about it but kids now just want the newest stuff with the newest graphic so the real nerdism behind it is dying out.

Sticks are the closet resemblance to golf equipment and even that's mostly pick a curve, kickpoint and flex.

With that wear mark on his driver, I would hold on to it and wear like a badge of honor like one of one.

Interesting that I would think that is a little low for optimal.. I mean if you are hitting the same spot all the time great! I would just think the impact would be a little higher.. But who am I to judge Rory..

I wouldn’t consider it low but I think it gets harder to hit the top end of the face when you’re swinging 4-6 degrees up on it

I was getting ready to comment something similar.  In one of the TM videos he was hitting 7 up, launching it at 15 and getting 2200 spin at 185 ish ball speed.  The TM rep said that’s why he is the 🦄

I agree. I am just saying it is a little lower than I expected. He is about as optimized as someone can get.

I mean eventually tm pushed really hard for morikawa to switch to qi10 Ls last year. There was a story of him at riviera with like 8 tm people trying to get it in his hands. He conceded later on after some returns to his og sim during the season.

 

He seems to like the 35 Ls. But the rocket fairway ain’t going anywhere! He’s swapped heads it seems his current looks fresh!

I can see it now… you’ve traded your first born and can’t wait to get to the first tee with your buddies. You hammer driver right down the middle and split the fairway at 345. 
 

Then flub a wedge, skull your chip, three putt, and realize you should have asked for his full game instead of just the driver.

I have been playing the Qi 35 LS for several weeks now (while dancing around the various deluges of rain during that time). Anyway I played the '10 all last year and I still have it (Core head). I must say that the '35 LS is really a big deal!!  My first four shots with it on the first hole without any warm up or practice shots and I hit those four all between 15 to 20 feet of each other. I set it up as I have on my '10 (9* with one click more loft [approx  9.66] with the same Ventus Blue Velocore + 6 S). I haven't changed anything since those first shots. The ball flight is incredibly straight whereas the '10, I would see many shots with an unintended but very playable fades. I can just hit this thing where I look.  Also, another bonus is I can hit it of deck and some out of the rough extremely well. That makes it much longer than the 3wd into the wind. I went with the LS over the core because of the smaller footprint that the new Core model (which also loses the classic TM head shape). I overwhelmingly recommend the '35. Plus every shot feels really solid, incredible! through this time I have compared it head-to-head with my '10 which I liked but it is less maneuverable and the difference in feel is amazing.
