That’s another way of saying the two pasty white guys are the two from Minnesota?😏

I would know as I was born and raised there but moved here to Arizona 30 some years ago.

man, I really hope the real greens aren’t like this lol. It’s a pretty tricked up little putting course. Have a feeling it’s giving us a taste and preparing us. But the real greens are going to have to be a lot more subdued.

We ended up getting the wedges we picked out earlier just ahead of our night golf round at The Wedge.

Didn’t know they were going to stamp them so when they asked it was like having to pick a tattoo with no time to think haha. I took the safe play and went with my kids names. Was a really nice touch and they turned out awesome.

I only ended up using the 60° through the night golf since all of the holes were sub 100y. They feel really good. Now, dialing in wedge yardages in February after not hitting a ball outside for months is no easy task lol. I could have done a lot better on the night golf but it was really fun no less.

This pic doesn’t do the contrast justice. Where the spotlight’s didn’t shine it was crazy dark.

Ended up being a pretty exciting finish to the round. Haven’t seen more than a handful of HIO’s in my life. So, having @Red4282 hole out on the last hole was crazy! Dude has a super smooth swing and was hitting some great shots out there leading up to it too!

Awesome stuff.  Kids names are always a smart choice.

Well woke up WELL before my alarm, so got some time to give an update. Yesterday was action packed and a ton of fun.

Started off with breakfast at the Cafe, had some brisket and eggs, delicious. We hop in the carts and they take is to the other side if the range where all the Wilson team was set up waiting for us.

Short game station: I was first at the Short game station where I tried the ZM wedges, with different options. First impressions were they look really clean and and feel great. The softer forging comes alive when you start to hit fuller shots with them. I ended up with the 50 gap, 56/12 bent to 54 and a 58/06. These greens here are firm and not very receptive but I was still able to put a ton of spin on them.

Tour Truck: Next I went to the tour truck where they began my wedge build. This has always been a bucket list for me, as a garage club builder, Ive always wanted to see a tour truck, and how they do everything. They shared some great tips, as well as some great stories.

AI fit: After the tour truck, I went down to meet Ed, who began to fit me with Irons using the AI fit. It was extremely cool to see some of the metrics it uses. Such as handspeed, g-forces, wrist hinges, closure rates. I started off with a Dynapwr forged. It feels great, and powerful. I ended up in Dynapwr forged, 4-7, with 8-PW staff cbs. Shaft Modus 105x, 1/2” over standard, 1* upright. My first time ever truly being fit, I was amazed at how much the lie angle was affecting shots. Ed really is a great fitter and he got it dialed in a matter if minutes.

Woods: Last, I went over to hit the Dynapwr wood with Harry. He knows his stuff as well but this was a bit more of a challenge. Started off with my gamer shaft, Diamana WB 5tx, in a Carbon head. The head itself absolutely checks all the boxes. The shape, color-way, are just gorgeous. Sound and feel are perfect. I hit a few decent ones maybe a touch high spin, and after a brief convo with harry about not like the left side, we went to the LS. Coming from an AI smoke TD, this seemed like a perfect match. Very similar heads. However I actually struggled quite a bit with it. It is fade biased, and while I hate to hit it left it seemed like work for me to get around on it and started leading to some poor strikes. After trying a different shaft, and configurations, we ultimately went back to the Carbon, where I was finally fit for a 9 degree head, lofted down to 8, Diamana WB 5tx. He had adjusted they weight configuration, and I cant quite remember the exact setup, but ultimately it had me knocking off about 300rpms over my gamer. Then went to the fairways, and maybe this was the shocker of the day for me. I was a little worn out at this point but I was just smoking the 13.5 and 16.5 heads. These are sleepers. They look great, love the profile, and they have a great spin and launch window.

Rest of the day- Had lunch right by the range, with some Taco trio that was fantastic. Had a small break and then went to do some other various activities. I chose fishing, and well I caught a pretty nice one (photo above). After another small break, we moved over to the putting course. These greens are insane. It quickly let us know what we were in for.

Another small break, Then we went up to this pretty cool area that overlooks a big part of the property, where we sat around and had great conversations as well as ALOT of pizza. On to the par three course. Two groups of six, I was in the second group with @radiman. The depth perception at night really messes with you, and everyone struggled on the first few holes. We were playing best ball against the first group. Finally we made a string of birdies, one by me and another nice one by @radiman, three under going into the last hole.

The next group was up behind the green hanging out, and after I hit my shot they just start screaming. We thought they were just messing with us, but turns out the weren't as my ball went in the hole for my first ever ACE!! It was just a crazy scene, I felt like I hhigh fived about 50 people, with camera flashes going off. Just nuts. Harry said he wants to take my wedge and frame it and then send me out another. Pretty cool. What a day. Now we play Karoo, with weather supposed to be coming in as we finish up. Heres some more photos I took last night. I know there will be some shared later of my ACE, but I didn't get any.

Great update.  What was your driver before the Wilson fitting?  Do you have any numbers from your old to compare?

They aren't that bad on the course. I played the course in June and got 8 holes in before we got rained out. The course still had not fully grown in when we played it and the greens were aerated and top dressed. I am sure the conditions are much better with almost another full year to mature.

wow, vessel made carry bags!  nice touch.  Those blades look sick!  Only slight negative I have to say is there's a lot going on with the crown of those woods.  Very busy.  Wouldn't mind a cleaner crown with their next release.  Maybe that initial matte black but for the entire crown (if they could with both materials).  Personally, I'd stand out from the competition with a matte grey or red.
