Those asking for swing and ball striking advice…

Please post face on and down the line videos…and no practice swings.  Those are useless to analyze swing faults.

 

No video equals no context and you’re likely to get advice that will make you worse.

 

You wouldn’t call your doctor and say my chest hurts, what can I do to make it better.

 

Could be indigestion, could be impending heart attack, could be pulled pec muscle……could be costrochondritis, which I can attest, feels like an impending heart attack.

In this medical analogy, practice swings are like sending your doctor a phone photo of your chest.

Does that need to be on purpose though? I would think intent needs to be there to make it worthwhile.

I don't think that the intent of this thread is for people to post their swings, it's so that we see fewer threads where people want advice, but don't obey the guidelines posted above.

 

In other words, @Ray Jackson, I'd start a new topic if you want actual help with your swing.

How about indoor hitting under a low ceiling? I’ve seen many on here compensate for it to their detriment.
 

It wasn’t until I moved to a place with a high enough ceiling that even a 46” driver with as high of a finish as I possibly could that I started to improve indoors.

Or not hypothetically at the moment a pic of your 65 pound lab “puppy” laying on your chest because it’s 17 below zero outside and she just came in and wants to warm up even though she’s crushing you.

Good question....likely case dependent but IMO probably not that important. Core fundamental flaws won't just appear/disappear with this variable. Someone that has bad/improper wrist set, sequencing, pelvic rotation, trunk rotation etc etc will have that everywhere regardless so a ball being present and the intent to hit it is the most important factor.

I'm finally getting to the range one night this week, i'll be taking my new phone holder to get a proper down the line video (and face on if possible, depending on which bay I can get).

If you have to ask that question, you clearly don't have enough cats around your house...never become the caretaker of a feral cat colony (I didn't know that was a thing until I found I was one)

That's what my buddy lives for.  And backyard swings, too.  It inevitably shows on the course.
