Has anyone ever played the Callaway Apex UT 2024 bent weaker in loft?

Basically, I am looking at a 4 way combo set, and since Callaway doesn't make a 5 iron in the UT, I was thinking just bending it weak, and shortening the shaft to make it a 5 iron, but has anyone ever played the current UT weaker in loft? I wouldn't think 2 degrees would get the club a crazy ton of bounce, but here would be the potential combo set:

AI 200 4 iron (21 degrees) Dynamic Gold 115 Mid X100

Apex UT 23 Degree (Bent 2 degrees weak to 25 degrees, -1 inch to 5 iron length) Dynamic Gold X100 120

Apex Pro 6-7 (1 degree weak) Dynamic Gold X100

Apex CBs 8-11 (Standard) Dynamic Gold X100

This combo set doesn't make sense to me. The UT is meant to be the longest iron in the bag, that's why they don't make a 5. Generally, It's the longest iron in a "players" iron set, which is why it doesn't combo with the Ai200 spec wise. Instead of over complicating things, here's how I would approach this combo set:

Add Apex Pro 5i, Add Apex UT 4i, drop the Ai200
Add Apex Pro 5i, Apex Ai200 (maybe 1 degree weak), drop the Apex UT

I actually ordered a 2024 Apex UT bent to 25 degrees. I did not shorten the length enough I think, and I had a ventus blue in it. The head was still super low spin and hot. As the above poster said, the apex pro 5 iron, I actually experimented with that after, and it was a much better fit.

Whats the end game here? You want the longest flying 25* iron you can find?

In the Titleist side of the world, I've seen quite a few sets that do 6i-PW in a T100, then do 5i & 6i in the T200 with a Tour AD-DI shaft. You'll have to check the exact lofts, but this combo has been very popular.

As for Callaway, their Ai 200 released to compete directly with the Titleist line. I haven't tried it, but I would look at the Ai 200 in long irons. Build them to the normal length/.5" longer for the club, choose a 95xish AD-DI (or any lighter graphite shaft), and let them launch! Sticking with the Apex Pros in 4 and 5 is obviously an option too.

This set would take your irons down to about 23 degrees. That opens up a nice spot for a 7w/4h/or even a more traditional driving iron build, all depending on your preferences.

AI 200 5i bent 1* weak makes more sense to me. Or as others mentioned, Apex Pro 5 too could work, but you may lose some of that pop you were hoping for.

That somewhat spins near 5K RPMs, the answer sounds like Ti Fusion, but I hate the paint job on it and wasn't getting along with the turf interaction...

That's good to know, that sole was on the skinnier side and was worried the pro wouldn't be spinning enough

Basically I was looking for something in between AI 200 and Apex Pro in a 5 iron, the answer could be Ti Fusion, but I didn't like the turf interaction and Im not a fan of the paint job...

Now to be honest, I haven't had the opportunity to try the apex pro in a 5 iron, only 6-PW, but it does has face cup in it so I wasn't sure if that would be the move or not

I think you need a hybrid. UI isn’t designed to spin, it’s a driving iron.

Probably just over thinking the whole thing. I can't see a performance reason to have 4 different irons. Like someone else said, you probably could use a hybrid at that point.
