These were released today and as a lefty, I ordered a Fastback 1.5 at 33.5"

 

Not a whole lot of buzz here regarding these. Anyone else order today?

It was only preorders now. The clubs themselves aren’t released until the 14/3 I believe. That’s what was in the email titleist sent me.

I really like the Fastback design, but would like to compare head to head with an Odyssey Jailbird. Looking at photos, they seem like the same head. I'm also drawn to the long design/cruiser style. Ultimately I'd like one with a heavier head that I can keep on line as well as my armlock Sik putter. I sort of want it to be dethroned, but nothing has been able to perform better.

The fastback is intriguing; I guess it's supposed to be a reasonably larger footprint than previous fastback iterations. I'm really curious how the insert will feel compared to the '24 phantom/super select milling.

I’m very curious to see how this new launch compares in terms of feel to my current Phantom.  If the feel is there I’m willing to go back to a blade style putter.   Newport Plus could have my name all over it.

I really think this is one of the better looking lines that Scotty has released in a while. Hoping they perform well as I am deciding between the Newport 2 and Newport 2 plus.

Received the fastback 1.5 yesterday and took it out today to practice green. 
 

sits perfectly flush to ground and frames the ball so well and the sound and feel are exactly what I’ve been searching for. 
 

playing 18 tomorrow so we’ll see but this is the first Scotty I’ve been I pressed with

Hit a few putts with the Catalina, Fastback, NP2 and Squareback the other day. Feel/sound were slightly softer/quieter to me compared to the Super Selects. Not too much different, but it was there a little bit

Any chance you would be willing to post a pic of the toe hang on this? Scotty's descriptions of their toe hang are about as vague as their descriptions of their metals or head weights. 😀

Saw these when I went to pick up my new driver. The Newport + looked gorgeous. I can see one of these in my future.

Just rolled the squareback 2.  More stable than my previous gen squareback and really really easy to line up.  It’s a little softer feel but it rolled really really nice

I rolled all of the lines that had a plumbers neck or a slant neck for the fastback.

 

Overall I do like the shade they used over the super select line. A bit of a darker shade. Overall shaping is the usual lines. 

 

Feel wise, I mean its a insert so its going to be a bit different than no insert. Is it better? Pretty subjective.

 

Only thing i did notice is that with the insert and more milling of separates pieces, I did notice some inconsistencies between putters like the milling of the insert not being clean and its installation and edges being just not as clean as Id like but they were demos so take it for what its worth.

 

I was actually pretty high on the phantoms mainly the plumbers neck of the 5.2 and 7.2 both just looked right having the shaft offset like how i like and feel was expected from the milling and material used. They also looked a lot cleaner in the detailing as well but it could also be just the ones I saw.

I’ve seen posts on other sites showing some pretty egregious milling issues especially on the insert. I know it’s a massive retail release but kind of concerning.

I noticed this yesterday too when I was rolling them in store. Definitely slightly darker than previous stainless finishes, looks great!

My fitter just got the squareback ld in today, will see him on Tuesday, test both and pick one up for sure.

Got fitted on the SAM and put all the putters through the ringer, Fastback 1.5 came out on top! I have very minimal arc in my stroke so have always gravitated towards face balanced, but my miss is always a pull and this helped me out a ton...plus the look all fit my eye and feel was great. Excited to put it in play this year.. first scotty!
