From early reports it seems this ball may have missed the mark with this release. If so that’s too bad, I’d prefer not refreshing it if it won’t be better. It has been great getting to play such a great ball at a great price.

Thanks for the heads up! Used it in combination with a 3 for 2dz deal on Miz Pro X balls(with some tees I needed to buy anyway to get over the $100 threshold).

Been playing the Tour since 2021, started using the Tour S  mid summer last year. For me the 2025 Tour S is noticeably better than the 23 version, straighter, longer with better approach spin. The 3 point compression increase may be a factor but that’s not much of an increase, it could also be the dimple pattern change. Durability is on par with the past, whatever they did is a nice improvement over the original version. For the record I was planning to go back to the Tour and still might but was disappointed in the increase to 95, I feel a 90 compression would have been a perfect match for my game.

Anyone compare the '23 vs '25 Tour S? Been playing the Tour for years, but want to go a touch softer.

After seeing the 20 off 100 sale and also getting a recommendation from ballnamic for the Maxfli Tour I figured I'd take advantage and stock up. I was surprised that coming from using the Vice Pro Plus (which was also in my recommendations) it suggested the standard tour over the X. You really can't beat 4 dozen for $90.

Yup, got 4 dozen of the new 2025 Tours in yellow. So $120 after the 4 dozen discount, $20 off with the app deal, plus another $30 I had in rewards. $70 for 4 dozen balls is pretty darn good.

Played these for 4 rounds this week after seeing Griffin on his heater, and honestly barely notice a difference from the chrome tour x I’ve been playing the last 1.5 years, which seems to me like the closest comparative profile. They maaaybe spin slightly less off wedges but I’ll need to check with the GC on course. Long game I noticed no difference whatsoever - was in the same spots I usually am (maybe farther) and flew just as stable in the wind. Also I’m definitely not noticing this discoloration at all that some have mentioned - do you guys not clean your ball after every hole? 

 

Going to work through my CTXs in upcoming tournaments, then plan on playing the Maxfli for good after that. For half the price it’s a no brainer - bought the 48 pack.

I did the exact same and picked up a sleeve of Tour Xs after watching Griffin over the past few weeks.  Played 3 balls a hole last night, hitting various shots, and was thinking the exact same thing about the similarities with the chrome tour x.  I did find the Tour X a little longer off the driver, and little firmer overall than the ctx overall (not a deal breaker).  I also noticed less spin on wedges from the fairway, which I'm absolutely digging.  Been trying to find a chrome tour x replacement for quite some time (switched to chrome tour last year after I found too much wedge spin with the ctx).  Was so pleased with the Tour X last night that I'm putting it in play for a tournament this week...

Yes it's soft. As soft as the AVX? Not sure, but it's close. Compression is higher on the S but not much. I got 48 Tour S for 99$. At 25$ and dozen it was hard to pass up. Good luck!

Grabbed the four dozen sale from Golf Galaxy of the Tours. Had a practice session yesterday on Trackman and compared to ProV1. Literally saw no difference between the two with any club. Maybe the Maxfli felt a hair softer.

Did you notice the balls getting marked up like others have discussed here?

This is good to hear. Hopefully it’s just an issue with one lot or overstated in general.

Digging the tour version. Nice feel. Could use a little more spin into greens but not awful. Have hit some penetrating drives with them. Restocked and will try the max align (too bad it’s only in white) to see if that helps my putting woes. Love the yellow ball. Very visible although I’ve lost some a few times at my course as they blend in with the range balls and I hit my drive a little to close to the range.
