Can Ping Retro spec irons be bent weaker ?

Hello.
I recently got a set of G440 irons in retro spec. . I was wondering if they can be bent even weaker?

Sure. I think you can get away with 1°-2° before you would adversely compromise the bounce.

I'm guessing Ping uses the same head and bends it ~2 degrees weaker to get the retro lofts so that would already increase the bounce a couple degrees from standard. Bending it even weaker will just add more bounce, you'll need to figure out if that's what you like/want. The standard 7 iron has a 9 degree bounce, with retro then bending another couple degrees would take you to around 13 degrees of bounce.

Are you certain ping uses the same heads ? I thought maybe they ordered the heads at certain lofts from their factory that sources the heads for them.

Yes, same heads. Bend as required.
