Callaway Pre-owned Trade in Trade Up Program Refund Time

Don't expect your credit for your trade very soon. This is the response I got from customer service today:

 

We do not show your Trade in Trade Up as processed at this time.

Our normal processing timeline for the Trade in Trade Up program is 10-14 days from receipt of your trade items.

Due to a higher-than-normal trade volume, we are currently processing trades at 20-25 business days from receipt.

As you have received a UPS return shipping label from us, we are able to confirm your return was delivered to our warehouse on 02/21.

Once your trade is approved, you will receive an email confirmation.  You will receive a second email confirmation once the refund is processed to your original method of payment.

Mine took a while to post last year but they did get to it eventually.

Last year during the 2X promo it was like almost 35-40 days.

 

But yes, this is a known fact about CPO trade-ins during the height of the 150% and 2X trade-ins from March through September.

I posted similar message reply from Callaway on recent trade in items I had.. FWIW.. I have received my refund, it was 2 weeks after receiving my items via UPS.

Welp, today is 25 business days for me from when my furthest out trade was delivered to their dock (Fri 2/21).  We'll see if I get an email notification at some point.  FWIW, when I traded in the clubs last month, their website only said 15-20 business days at that time.  I wouldn't be surprised if we soon see it rise to even 35-40 business days pretty soon like third-times-a-charm said.

No trade in email today.  But now on the website it’s showing 25-30 days as of tonight.

It’s long.  I traded some clubs in with TM and their 50% bonus and received my credit within 7 days.  Not to mention their trade values are substantially higher than Callaway

Just like stuman74 my trade arrived there on 2/21 and I have heard nothing.

Mine arrived there on 2/18, I emailed them and they told me to give it 48-72 hours to process. This was on Monday, no refund yet.

Huh....so I just got a CPO trade email (odd on a Sunday mid-afternoon), but it's for a trade that got to their warehouse on 3/13.  I have not received any notifications yet for my other trades that all got there on 2/21, 2/26, and 3/4.  I'd assume they have a FIFO process, but somehow this one trade that just got there a couple weeks ago seems to have slipped through.

I also received my credit yesterday for a trade in trade up that was received by their warehouse on 3/13. 17 total days. I’ll take that!

Yup, TM through Global Golf was super quick for me--about a week. Callaway, still waiting after a few weeks. On top of actually waiting for credit, or a gift card on a return, etc., the delays are problematic just in terms of forgetting what you sent in, what you are owed, etc. Whole thing stinks.

You ever get your trade-in refund notification?  Past their 30 business days now.  Nothing for me on my 2/21 arrival.

Nothing yet for me on my 2/21 arrival. I have sent another email. Waiting to see what excuse I get this time. While I may purchase from CPO again in the future if they are the only source for a club I need I doubt I will trade with them again.

I got 1 of my 2 trades that both arrived on 2/21.  Not sure why not the other.

But, I also got my most recent trade to Callaway (non-pre-owned) with the 50% bonus included that arrived to them just a couple weeks ago on 3/19.

Just seems way random and delayed lately.

Had a return that arrived at their warehouse on 2/26 and just got my email sayin my credit has been processed on 4/2.  Tried calling 2-3 weeks before but wait times took forever

Received this reply today. My trade in was received on February 21 so it obviously got skipped or their last statement is not true!

 

"If your concern  has yet to be addressed, please respond to this email or call 1-877-723-5218 to speak with our customer service team and they will assist you as soon as possible.  Our current average wait times may reach over 1 hour.  Our call back option will allow you to receive a call from one of our customer service agents without waiting on hold.

***We are currently processing all trade in items and returns within 30-35 business days of receipt.  You may view your trade return label tracking on your original order confirmation.  As of April 8th, our receiving teams are approving returns and trades received on February 24th."

Yes, on Sunday 4/6 I received the completion email.

My return was accepted on Feb. 14 and last night(4/09) at 9pm I recieved the email that the trade was completed.  Still don't have the money but I expect that in 2 or 3 days to hit my card.

It took 36 Business days from the date they received my clubs to get my most recent trade-in refund.

My trade in refund from Feb. 21 processed at 10:35 PM yesterday. 52 days and 35 business days later.
