Vokey SM10 Oil Can Wedges

I just got fitted for wedges and wondering on the shipping of oil can wedges - right after teh fitting the ship date said 211-Mar-25, then it moves to 27-Mar-25, and now it is 3-Apr-25.  I am hoping it stops sliding, but a bigger concern is head availability.  I have had issues in some conditions with shots, and the fitter suggested multiple sets of wedges for firm and softer conditions and one of the heads he was not sure on the availability.  I was just wondering if anyone else had these on order and what your ship date was for teh order.

are you dead set on the oil can ? you could always just order the wedges in another finish if you don't want to wait. or, get a set in the meantime while you're waiting for the oils?

 I have a set on order, also got delayed from mid March to early April. I haven't seen any stores stocking them either

The old school oil can would rust.  I have had DLC coated irons and they will last and these look really cool.  I had considered going with my standard Jet Black, but was told all the heads were in stock and they would be able to build them this week.  Original ship date was 3/21 then 3/27, then 4/3 and now 4/10 - the ship date is losing ground pretty fast, I am guessing that they are having som logistics issue with something in my order. I have to just get these out of my head and when they show they show, but setting them up for 1 day delivery seems comical now that they have moved back 3 times already 🙂

First shot out of a bunker and you can kiss that finish good bye,  looks great but isn’t super functional on a wedge.

its PVD. Much more durable than you’re making it out to be 

 

would be much better if it was the authentic oil can finish that did indeed wear that quickly!

Same, and have been used out of some not so pristine traps.

Cool thanks! How’s the feel? I assume all vokey’s feel the same but curious if it seems to effect it any way.

They feel like a Vokey, soft , especially on full shots.

It feels similar to the other finishes, but it looks soooooo much better.

Awesome! Thank you!  Mind if I ask which loft/grind you went with? And how you like it?  They don’t come in a ton of options.

What is the shaft that comes in these?  I understand it is a PX wedge shaft.  Is it a 6.0 flex?
