I do agree a that big segment is loyal to the brand. But will also say the irons are looking so good compared to some of the other recent drops, it makes it even more tempting to blind order.

*that Titleist script alone probably accounts for 40ish percent of sales!

The tseries?  I would agree, and it’s part of the loyalty/point.  Titliest has a certain design language and they don’t deviate much from of it.  If if the clubs a stinker it sell well due to the look.  They went through a spell of awful drivers relatively to everyone else and they still sold well.

they are kinda of like Bose.  “Back in the day” when there were fewer players in the market they were the right there with the best of the best.  Now depending on what you want, theres better value annd even performance out there in the mid to high end market of speakers. Most  People that by Bose, buy it cause its Bose.

But to reiterate, I don’t think wealthy are snob as their demographic for either of them.  More like brand conscious and resistant to change

The words that I equate with Titleist are: tradition, precision, quality and class.

Has anyone hit the 250 vs the 350?  Any difference in sound/feel?

350 louder and firmer for sure.  Both launch very high, but the ball feels like it explodes of the 350.  250 is hot, but more of I'll term it a controlled hot.  Maybe just my opinion, but I honestly think that it's more visual than performance  from previous generation.  I definitely want to go back and spend more time with them.  They are going to sell a lot of these things, probably lot's of combo's.

Their pricing mostly aligns with other brands. Are you expecting $175 per club? Guys always complain about titleist pricing forgetting they run on 2 year cycles and basically price everything in the range of where other companies will price on their next cycle.

not at all, as noted above they have massively increased prices here despite a major fall in the value of the dollar so they are well over other brands prices here in Europe. $566 for the u505/250u with vf shaft for a pretty standard utility is well overpriced. The u505 is pretty much a copy of the old zx mk11 the 250u is pretty much a copy of the 2017 or 2021 p790 Udi, neither justify a massive premium. I much prefer titleist, but I’m not a fool either.

“Their demographic” lol. Is there really still this stigma w/Titleist that their demo. is the “wealthy snob”???
Just another OEM to me 🤷🏼‍♂️

He may have meant the loyal titleist player, that regardless if they are young kr old, been playing 40 yesrs or 4 years will always go with Titleist.

cant beleive they are still going with the AMT's as stock shafts though... like a lot of people dont get along with variable weight shafts... and when you're fitting with only a 7iron it makes it real hard to tell if that shaft will work for you.

Not sure I follow - you should be able to test out the heads in different shaft types / configurations through SureFit.

On a side note, AMTs are horrible 🤣

Hoping to hit these in the next week or so - based on my gut, I'm thinking I end up with the following:

and the graphite MMT's are also variable weight??

Only the amc ones, the tapers are static weight available up to 125g and the paralllels static available up to 90g. Tapers are the ones you see used in ladies tours a lot.

Yeah. Ping BP is $212 per. 925 F is $200, Cally Ai 200 is $200. Current T100 is $215… Essentially all in the same neighborhood.

Upcharges are what doesn’t align with other brands.  I don’t understand why I can get MMTs for no upcharge (Callaway for example) yet they are $70 per club with Titleist.  Wish these charges were more consistent.

I’ve been playing the 718 AP2s since they released and absolutely love them. Unfortunately, they are starting to show some wear and it’s time to update. Which of these models would be the closest to the AP2?

Likely the T100, but i’ll be worth trying the T150 as well.  You’ll get a bit more speed if needed.  And slightly more forgiving.
