Got fit today to T250 and T150, bent 1 weak. Given that makes the PW 45 degrees, I’m torn on what to do with wedges and cannot test with my shaft before ordering. Gap wedge will be 50 but then I’m torn.  Do I go 54 (bent to 55)/60 or 54/58? Have always played 60, so not sure what to do there!

You could always just play 54 and 60 not really an uncommon combo. I’ve always played 58 and when I try to play a 60 I hate it. When it comes to the lob wedge I would say it’s probably the wedge most people are sensitive to so if 60 works for you stick with it.

I also have a set of 925 Forged, and contemplating the T150s.  What differences did you see in them?

Depends on which specific iron of the 925 Forged you're comparing. The 925 Forged are like a combo set in itself, with the 8-G being forged from 1025 steel and i'd say very close to the T150 in terms of size and performance. The major difference being the 2 degree loft difference. The 4-7 irons of the 925 Forged are made from Chromoly steel and designed to have faster faces, so more similar to the T250 in that regard but the Mizunos are not a hollow body head but rather a traditional cavity back with a hot, forgiving face that is still forged and provides a softer feel than T250.

Honestly, I love the 925 Forged irons and they will see plenty of play. I do think the new Titleist irons however will be in play most of the time for me as I think they will be just ever so slightly more consistent in terms of front-back dispersion. I love having both sets 🙂

Also have never played a 58…what if it’s love?!

I’d say play whatever that lofts your comfortable with hitting.  The 1 degree of loft will make zero difference in your scoring.

Bend your wedges depending on if you could deal with less or more bounce. Bend them weak for more bounce a strong for less.

I’ve played 50/54/58 for a really long time and never had an issue with the combo. Does everything I need from it.

How are you all finding the AMT silver shaft? Does it fit in between the lower laughing white and the standard launching black? Or does it fit in between the standard launching black and the higher launching red? There’s no information on this shaft online.

I really wanted to love either the T250s and JPX 925Fs as well, but thought both were harsher in my fitting vs. ZXi5s. In both defenses, I was hitting only 7-iron but ZXi5 just felt soooo good with better results (for me). I may revisit a dedicated Titleist fitter where I can hit all the irons. Anyone else have an opinion or similar opinion on ZXi5’s vs. JPX 925F vs. T250?

May have been posted already but this got me to blind order 5-pw t100 4 iron t 150. Same 2 weak 2 flat as they tested as my current 19 t100 go a tad too far/low spin at times. Have slightly less speed (96-97 7 iron) than the little bro but decided more bounce and spin could be good for my misses (low spin draw). The shots out of the rough were what sold me. Maybe elite marketing, but spin retention is what I'm looking for. Stuck with the amt white x100 (now gen 2) as i use the og now and like them a lot.

FYI you can also call and ask for target swing weight on your order after placing the order. Mine were gonna come d6 at + 1/2" amt white x100 mcc. Requested d4. They have a "lighter head" they can use. Think the stock sw for these may be a shade heavier  than prior gen (d4 stock i belive). At least that's what the customer service guy hinted at (low confidence). Didn't see it listed on the site this go round so passing along.

My experience has tended to be that if you really really like the Srixons (and you’re really into its feel, sole, and results), you should pat yourself on the back and just play with them, because if they work for you results-wise, the sole works for you, AND you like the feel, you’re not going to find something that’s actually better

The reason to go for the jpx forged or the titleists is, in my mind, sole related (if you like everything else about the Zxi). If you are having no issues with turf interaction and are getting alone with the sole, then I wouldn’t even get into your own head thinking of a switch

I play 54 and 60 deg wedge and love it.  I've never liked a 58 deg.  Gapping is usually in a 4-6 degree window so you don't follow a certain pattern if it doesn't work for you.

i made the jump from 52/56/60 to 50/54/58 and love it! i never liked the big gap between PW and 52*. i was worried bc i almost exclusively used me 56 around the greens, but now it's nice bc i use the 54 and 58 around the greens a lot. just have more options.

Curious has anyone that ordered through DD received their order or shipping info? Was wondering if retailers are getting their custom orders as quickly as direct orders.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve actually never played with Srixons. Always been Titleist (not brand agnostic just happens that way) and somewhat flip flop to Mizunos. By no means would I say the T250s and JPX 925F was disappointment, rather its more of a salute and how impressed I was with the ZXi5s in my fitting and may just commit and give these a go (not over analyze so much).

A buddy of mine was fitted last week on 7/8 and fitted into T350s, placed the order with custom specs that same day, and shipment already in-progress with expected delivery by end of this week. Don’t know date of final delivery, but that’s super-fast.

At the retailer, not sure if the fitter ordered through Titleist or a Titleist rep. But again, theses were custom specs including custom grips and custom shafts. Either way, they were built, customized, and shipped from Titleist in Carlsbad.

Yeah this cycle they seem to be pumping out stuff way faster than 2 years ago or during last year’s GT debacle.

Thanks. Was curious because I ordered a full set of 250s about 2 weeks ago and still nothing. So wondering if 250s are a hot item and taking longer. Will update when I get shipping notification. Appreciate everyone for all the feedback.

Not sure if this helps, I ordered the T250s on the 10th.  Custom shafts, custom grips, and custom lie.  Tracking says they'll be here tomorrow.  I'm in the US on the right coast.  Super impressed with Titleist and their turnaround.  Hope you get yours soon!

I know it is not possible to buy heads only, but does anyone have a connection? I really want to build my own custom set with my new shafts, ferrules, and grips.

Mr. Wolfe

Just buy then and request they don't cut installed shafts, they will oblige.   Pull them and sell them.
