BEST WALKING COURSES IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BEST WALKING COURSES IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA.

I live here and struggling to think of too many. The places I play most (Gateway, Missouri Bluffs, Pevely Farms) all are either hilly or have long walks between a few holes, or both. The ones that come to mind for me for walking are the Landings at Spirit, Aberdeen, and Crescent Farms

I was thinking of the same 3 course the Highlands and Forest Park are the other ones I can think of.

I'd second those recommendations along with Forest Park and the 2 Columbia courses. A fun 9 holer and walkable is Ballwin. 

Gateway is walkable, its very flat. My kids played in many junior tournaments  there.

Bluffs was certainly not designed with walkers in mind. 

Another good track that's unwalkable is Annbriar. The front is fine but the back is very hilly. Just the walk from 11 green to 12 tee is a killer.

Spencer T. Olin is an easy walk. A buddy of mine and I played Annbriar a couple of weeks ago. Had never played there but prefer to walk all of our rounds. That walk was brutal. The front was easy but the climbs on the back nine gassed us.

Hey just saw this. 
 

Forest Park - Hawthorne and Dogwood are mostly flat. Redbud is a bit up and down but honestly they’re all three walkable. 
 

Gateway National. The front nine is a big walk but the back flies by. Lovely course with views of the arch on most of the holes. A fantastic Twilight course that offers tremendous value. 

 

Aberdeen Farms. Probably my personal favorite course in the area.  Par fives are gettable, par fours offer a lot of different looks, and the par 3s are pretty friendly. 9 and 18 are very memorable and difficult - but fun.  
 

Ruth Park. Not my favorite course but it’s a walkable 9. 
 

Highlands. I don’t golf here anymore because I just don’t like the course. I could make like a 30 minute video about why it’s a really bad course for 10 handicaps. 
 

I have walked Far Oaks but it’s not really a walkable course. 
 

I also don’t really think of Annbriar as walkable but it’s a nice course.

you listed the courses i was thinking of that were walkable.
