Best Launch monitor for course and outside range.

Like to hear some insights on launch monitors you have experience with.
would prefer cost under 2K but open to hear everything.

You can probably find a Foresight GC2 used for around $1k.

I enjoyed the smaller Mevo. About $500 new. Radar based and quite mobile and easy to set up.

Its going to heavily weigh on if you plan to use it for sim golf or just range and course duty. I had a mevo plus for a year and it was great for the range but sucked for sim golf due to chipping and putting being terrible. But if you dont care about that its a great option. I upgraded to an uneekor eye mini and its leagues better for sim golf but also a good bit more expensive.

Despite its limitations, cannot complain about the R10. Very transportable, can be set up anywhere (range, course, garage) and has been tested to return decently accurate numbers.

Even better, you can add on even better software (like Awesome Golf) which returns even more accurate information, plus offers some additional features.

I set my r10 up at GG while doing a trackman session back when I first got it, the numbers from the r10 were either the same or close enough to trackman that it would never matter for my Intended use.

By chance.. do you know if any of the add on software has something like the angry birds game they have at top golf? My non golfer friends reaaaaally like that one, but my wallet would prefer if I could make it happen at home haha.

Awesome Golf is $15US/$20CAD per month, and does include some games and challenges in its menus. Plus it has online competitions.

Side benefit is it seems to get spin #s a bit more accurate than the Garmin app. Downside is I have had some very strange readings some days, where it seems to get confused between the clubhead speed and the ball speed (smash factor of 0.95 or 1.65).

Mevo plus was great for range and course use. very accurate. The only reason I sold mine was I use it heavily for sim golf and it doesnt do great with small chips and putting.

i have the rapsodo MLM and it does a decent job, plus it can be picked up really cheap (<$250) used. you could always pick one of those up until you decide on something better.
