Elyte tour draw

It is out, however, I think it is a somewhat limited release.  I picked one up as soon as I heard about it, however, even though it is a bit more draw biased than the standard Elyte Triple diamond, it is still not enough draw bias for my swing.  I have a 9° up for sale on the BST.

It is out and it is a great driver. Very slight draw head like some Tour players want it. It is definitely less draw bias than the Elyte X. For me the TD TD mainly wants to go straight or fall left. Indeed, it seems more that it does not have any fade bias like past Triple Diamond heads. But still easy to work it either way.

The standard Triple Diamond and Tour Draw look exactly the same. Only the internal weighting is different.

Thanks! I need the TD for spin management, but I naturally play a fade so the little extra fade bias of the TD can accentuate the fade more than I want….like 25-30 yards which is a slice in my book.

hoping it could take out 10 yards or so, making my normal shot straight to tiny fade and my bad shots 15-20 yard fades

I would say there’s a great chance it will do just that. It eases up that fade spin a bit. It is not difficult to hit. Just need to dial in the loft for your optimal spin. The 450cc shape is nice. I’ve been playing golf a long time. All these heads still look pretty big to me!

I’m only 7 years or so taking the game seriously but still don’t like some of the head shapes. Can only imagine it from the view of someone who’s played long enough to remember the small heads of the past

One of the things I've seen in a couple of reviews is that it's for those that prefer to play a draw (vs reduce a slice) and to support that, it's made to start more right then draw.   Would you agree with that?

I picked up a TD TD because I love the shape and size of the standard TD but play a cut off the tee and can lose too many to the right with the standard TD head.  It is not a draw club but for me it is very straight.  I can still hit a cut but it doesn't get out of control.  I played the Epic Speed triple diamond DS a few years back and it is similar to that in what it intends to do.

So is the TD internally weighted with hot melt? I don’t get it.

Not hot melted, but they added a bit of weight to the heelside.  How or where I have no idea.  It's more or less just to negate the slight fade bias of the ♦♦♦.  One reviewer said the heads are actually slightly different.

My point is it's not really a Draw driver, it's just a bit easier to turn over or in my case, just to take off a bit of the sting of an overcut.  Although this is my first ♦♦♦, Tigercolt77 has it pegged.

Hey, sorry for the delay. Been on the road and did play some golf.

I don’t know if the TD TD is made to start more right but that is how I like to play my drives. I don’t hit big draws, just like to start it slightly right of the target line and just have it fall left. This driver makes it easy for me to get that flight.

It also does not spin too much. Draw spin will usually be lower so the only issue for some players may be getting the optimal loft in the head. Really depends on ball speed and angle of attack.

Had a chance to compare it to the Ping G440 LST and that also is a great driver. Really like it. Much better sound. The Ping feels very stable and may be a little more forgiving in left/right dispersion. But I really do not think it is a major difference, it is not any better on mishits across the face and it has a little fade bias. The Tour Draw does not, so in terms of pure ball speed, I get more with the Tour Draw. Just a little hotter and more of a penetrating trajectory in my hands. I think I just do well with heel-weighted drivers. I square the face easier and I hit it better.

I wonder if the TD TD is a response to the Smoke Max D getting some use on tour. I have a hard time playing a driver with a strong fade bias and this Tour Draw head really intrigues me. When I demoed the G440 LST I had some pretty good results with the weight in the draw setting. Very consistent spin. Not crazy about the look though and it felt heavy. Currently in a TSR2 that I like a lot, but I would be willing to give this Elyte head a go. Any thoughts on how Elyte Tour Draw compares to a Titleist driver?

Great head for me. Start lines are better. Harder to lose it right. Ive hit some I thought were gone to look up and see it stay in play in the right side of the fairway. Its not a draw club. Its not going to create a draw for anyone. It will go left easier but I can fade it with ease as well. Overall it helps lessen my miss without the fear of it going left either.
