These are sick and not stupid expensive either. Awesome it's not limited to only a few people. I wonder if they aren't releasing until August to see if he ends up winning more and demand goes even higher.

Maybe because of the loft of the 9 and PW it doesn’t matter?

We got some more shafts upgrades free of charge, so i went with the KBS Tour Black on my set. 
I am on a stop shopping project, but since they don’t arrive until september i think it doesnt count until second half of 2025 🥳

KBS Tour Black was a free upgrade!? They are $30 each on the US site..

It’s funny how the P730 wasn’t too exciting of an iron when it came out. Now 7 years later all the pros are still gaming a variation of it and everyone wants Taylormade to bring them back!

Very very surprised (but pleased) that TM UK are offering these sets as custom options until 15/05/25.

 

I wanted to buy a set of the Copper P770 irons last year but whilst there were custom options in the US the UK only got "standard" off shelf P770 and P790 sets for the UK market so I passed.

 

And looks like the KBS Tour Black shaft is a standard offering for the Rors irons too.

 

Tempting, even though I don't need another set of irons! 😄

A friend of mine ordered a set of these, he ended up matching Rory's specs (but went with DG 105 X-Flex instead of the Project X Rifles). He did match up the same loft, length and lie so I am curious on how they are gonna play. I am def gonna try and give them a few swings.

Folks do recognize that these shaft charges are total cost, not per iron, correct?  I priced out an option with Nippon and the total was just $1515 with the $15 shaft upgrade charge, lie adjustment, and a no cost upgrade grip option.

I tried a few configs, I think that is a typo/error for that particular shaft, lol. Any other is add $15 on for each iron. Too bad it isn't a popular nippon shaft with the error, lol.

lol if you ain’t going px 7.0, you ain’t Rory spec.

I've never held the TW irons, when they were first released the pga superstore near me I guess got a demo 7 iron and by the time I got there to check them out it was stolen or an employee took it home. That's what they told me at least. 

 

I never thought the topline on the p730 was thick at all, looked perfect to me.

It’s thick compared to the p7tw.  Those have the thinnest topline and sole of any modern big oem blade.

That was an error for the nippons it is supposed to be per club and is per club with all other shaft options

ZXi7 are shovels compared to the P730!

 

Slightly stronger loft on the Srixon 9i as well.
