You can just cancel through your CC if TM doesn’t cancel it.  Seems crazy he can’t modify his order that is 4 months away from being built.

For 1500 dollars they are definitely a Chinese forging, not Japanese. I don't know if the Chinese forgings got better or not, but my old RAC MB TP irons definitely had a firmer feel than any of my Mizunos. They were still a good iron but I can pretty much guarantee Rory's set is forged somewhere in Japan.

These have the same length specs as all other current TM irons

Is this for Taylormade specifically? Because Mizunos are around the price point and Srixon are under that price. Both obviously Japanese forged

I remember seeing his spec sheet and he was 0.5" over (38.5" 5 iron) - this was in the last 12 months. I was shocked that he was playing over standard.

FYI - my buddy called TM and was able to alter his order for the Rors Prototype irons, he changed his grips.  Sounds like you can still make changes to your order as of now.

I agree.  I don't think the price precludes them from being Japanese forged.

These are good questions. Knowing Taylormade, if they had been I feel like if they were they would be shouting it from the rooftops

Yeah if none of the current or recent mb offerings are Japanese forged, including the TW irons there’s zero chance these will be.

I’m assuming this is based on his European specs, which are in centimeters, and when converted to the imperial system, it rounds to the nearest 1/16 inch

Not sure on WTF sorry - had that measured a long time ago and have forgotten many moons ago. I'm 196 cm, so about 6'4-6'5 in shoes. 1" over has always been my happy place on irons.

Same, got charged last week.  Was expecting to be charged at time of shipping since it was essentially a pre-order.

They never charged me until today and I ordered mine on day 1, no biggie though.  On previous orders, they only charged me once my order was getting ready to ship.

Maybe new protocol?  I got charged for the Rory spider day after order, then about 5 days later it was refunded

My friend that ordered a set said he is going to mess with the included 4 iron, but will probably throw in his Ping iCrossover 4 utility that he has or another hybrid

Ok, I’m on a self imposed no posting “break”. But I just can’t resist this one. I see you have gotten some “confused” reactions to this one (my guess is from ppl that ordered em and want to believe the kool-aid is good) Here to say that I’m on ur side here. 

My take. We know Collin’s irons are all custom milled. No doubt Rory gets the same treatment. A while ago an insider posted the video showing the process of creating Collin’s heads. He said a retail set made that way would easily have to cost $6k+. My common sense intuition tells me, no way these are the same @ this price point. Safe to say they are an “inspired by” situ.
