AD DI Hybrid 105S Users - How Stout?

Title pretty much says it all. I have the rogue black 95ts which I love, but I notice I have to slow my tempo down (what feels like) A TON relative to other clubs since I’m using 130g irons and 89 gram fairway woods. The AD DI seems to be the smoothest option in this weight class. I actually tested it in the 95x class and it felt loose to me but wondering if going up in weight or changing the tipping might affect how things feel. My driver speed seems to be sticking around 103mph so I’m nervous to go 105X. Everything else in the weight class seems too stout.

Are there any users of the 105S that can share their experience with this in terms of performance/feel/tipping, their swing speed, and what else is in their bag, shaft wise?

DI HY in general is soft, IMO. I've tested both S and X in the 95/105 gram versions. I would recommend going up to X if you're dead set on it and either going straight in or tipped half inch. You could also go with the IZ HY which to me felt more linear and firmer overall.

Thanks, I don't think they make IZ in a 105 or I would definitely be looking there. But on that note, I see in your sig you play the KBS 105x - how would you compare that to IZ? I have heard it's pretty stout so not sure if similar to IZ or much firmer.

I feel like all the DI product is going to play 'soft' and spin some so don't be afraid to go up in weight/flex if you seek more stability.

I have played an AD DI 105S hybrid shaft and it's definitely not "soft". It's a great shaft if you want a mid-launch with a hybrid and need that weight.

You're correct, the IZ HY only goes up to 95 gram. 105 gram is tour only. KBS hybrid proto is stout. There is barely an bend/load unlike the DI which does and you can feel it in the mid section. It launched a little lower and spun less compared to the DI.

This is what I do. I play stiff in almost everything, but always go up to X using a DI.

This is for a hybrid. I play Modus 125 stiff. Have Evenflow 85 6.5 in my woods.

The more I think about it the more I might start with the 105 S and over-tip. That would probably bring the profile closer to what I want anyway. The 95X felt a little bendy for in the middle and I'm not used to playing with anything that increases tip stiffness so rapidly.

So I didn’t get along with modus, but I play Px6.5 and so I am used to very linear. The KBS proto hybrid is that, in graphite. Not quite as firm but you don’t feel a lot of bend. Also the flexes play very true, and you could even do a 95S+ as opposed to a 95X. I cannot say enough good things about the KBs proto hybrid, and it’s half the price of the DI.

They also have 105S/S+/X but the 105 is even stouter than the 95

I really like the 105g weight class in my hybrid. I've played Both Tour Green and Blue in 105TX and have no need to change it up. If I did, I'd probably try KBS Proto like Phizzy (have KBS in irons and UT, so I know they fit me well). Is this in a hybrid, or utility iron?

It’s for a hybrid. TX is definitely too much oomph for me, I’m closer to S than X but it’s hard to find much in the weight range that isn’t too stout.

KBS hybrid proto can be used for either hybrid or UT, however, I find that it works betters for UT as I want something that's stable and feels linear yet still gives me enough spin and launches a touch higher. Now for hybrid, I want something that's anti-left, stout, linear and low spin as hybrids tend to launch higher and spin more than UT.
