New Callaway Iron Line for 2025

Has anyone heard much about the new TCB and CB line update? Johnny Wunder made some comments about it in his podcast and he seemed reallly excited/pleased with what he knew was coming.

Wasn't there rumors floating around of an Ai100 iron? Replacement for the Apex Pro. I just wish they would release the X Forged Japan here in the states so I could order to my specs.Ugh!

Rumor of an ai100 i have heard as well to replace the pro. I also was told in recent days that Callaway might  do a release of the X forged this summer here in the states. I Assume it would be a limited release

Don't tease me!Lol. Some how they'll manage to F up the X Forged here and put tech into it. I miss the days when Cally just made a simple, some what forgiving, forged iron. We shall see but I'll probably end up with the Japan version and have them rebuilt.

Saw the upcoming releases and unfortunately no new Apex's. But I think you will be pleasantly surprised at what is coming.

I believe the Apex Ai lineup was released in August 2024 so we won’t see anything until next year

Where players distance and game improvement irons come out one year 

 

Then players irons and UWs come out the next year

 

Like aren't the Pro, MB, CB, and UT all due for a refresh?

x forged has probably had the most demand for a us release besides the tcb i can remember in recent memory from callaway.i would be shocked if they would alter the club in any way versus what it is now. would kinda defeat the purpose of bringing them to the us market

 

would also be cool to see min woo's protos come to the market as well.

It's a little odd that Callaway has almost completely bypassed the throwback trend, especially when there are so many iconic designs in their history. They use the old names sometimes but never the old cosmetics. 

 

Remember how the shaft of a Hawkeye driver just kind of disappeared into the crown of the head? Would be tough with an adapter for sure, but it would be an instant differentiator.

Nah, too much 'tech' for the 'purists' who, for some reason, aren't hitting Mashies and Niblicks with Hickory shafts unless they're Golf Cosplaying some weekends...

 

There's a reason all of the crappy DTC zombie-brands are building irons that look like they could have come out 30-40 years ago. There's a market for the stuff, just not for people who want to put the lowest score possible on their card regardless of skill level. That's also why the big OEMs sell a handful of Blades compared to more modern designs, and why you're increasingly seeing OEMs just ignore the 'segment.'

The cycle can vary.   There was a 3 year cycle from 16 to 19.   Normally it's been 2, but if they're doing something else that has some category overlap they could well bump out for another 6-12 months.

I know! But for me, the Apex CB is my favorite iron ever. Shocking to me people didn’t like them.
