This is what i found. Ill try to be as clear as i can

Feel (softer to firmer)

Prov1

left dot

CT

Feel (explosiveness) - nobody talks about this but its something ive always thought about and always look for in a ball

Left dot

CT

V1

Driver Trajectory (low to high)

Vi

Left dot

CT

Long Iron play - Feel and trajectory

Left dot

CT - very very close with Left dot.

V1

Approach - 150 and in

V1 - almost perfect on approach

CT - love the trajectory and spin

Left Dot - all three very very close. I like the softer feel of the v1 on approach shots for some reason but hard to choose with all three

Wedge play - (50 yards and in)

CT / V1

LD

Greenside

CT - love the slightly firmer feel here and the spin. ultimate control. Highly confident in the CT

LD - great feel. Spin is fine. but not CT level.

V1 -  the v1x might be better around the green due to spin

Putting

CT/LD/V1 - all three are great.  TBH, on superfast greens,  i like the LD. Just firm enough to provide great feedback and control. V1 on medium greens and CT on medium and soft greens. Its all about feedback on putts for me. No loser or winner here.

Overall, if I had to rate these balls on a 1-10 scale for ALL aspects of play it would be as follows

LD- 9.8

CT- 9.6

V1 - 9.6

Awesome post!!

With regards to 2023 V1 I found it with a boring trajectory and TOO low of spin on approach shots for me .....I've hit 2025 and it seems to have rectified approach shots play .....

But regardless,  I'm onto Chrome Tour!

i was never a cally guy either......2019 TP5 was the best!!!   then i went to V1 and then Left dot which has been my all time fav ball to hit......the CT just entered the chat for me....i was shocked at first but really enjoying it now

Uhh yeah the 2019 TP was amazing.  Love that.  Ive never hit a left dot.  It would probably fit me the best but they arent available for less than a couple hundred and Im just not paying that lol.

if you are a team titleist member and ever take a plant tour in Massachusetts, you can buy left dots for $55

I’ve played left dots and still have 2 boxes left over.  It’s not a unicorn and unless you ultra high swing speed you won’t notice a difference between it and the other firmer tour balls.

Anytime a friend or playing partner starts down the path of trying to get left dots i let them hit one of mine in a pool of 4 other firm tour balls.  If they can pick it out after hitting each ball twice I’ll give them a sleeve.  Nobody’s picked it and most pick the prov1x

Thats just not factual....it may be your opinion, but Titleist did not design that ball with this in mind.......and as we always say, feel is subjective.

if its not a unicorn ball for you, why dont you give me a box in a trade for something? 😉

Lol.  They also say feel ain’t real.

to add to my first comment on the ball you quoted in bold.  Moving to the left dot won’t improve your scoring.

heck no, I’m waiting for these to get to 500 a box!

On the par 3s today , I had 7i, 8i, 2-9i and a SW

All hit on the proper trajectory with plenty of stopping power .....

Maybe I'm swinging tiny bit better but I feel as though with CHROME TOUR I've added 10yds or more off driver.....

#GOLDBOX-CHROMETOUR

I've got my sleeve of gold box CT ready to go Saturday lol.  Familiar course so I'll have a good idea how it performs.

Just for reference I'm normally a 215-240 driver guy

With CHROME TOUR it's been 240-265....

Now some has been rollout but I'm not complaining 😉! Lol

I'm north of that but not WRX long. 260-275 type guy.

Looking forward to comparing the ball with TP5.

FOR ME...... tiny bit straighter than TP5 2024...... LONGER due to less spin BUT equal to on trajectory,  spin into and around the greens .....can't wait to hear your thoughts

How do you know it wont improve my scoring? maybe I hit the left dot 5 yards further on average and fly a trap or miss a hazard by that length> There is no way you can say that lol..

Good luck with the $500 a box......you can head to Titleist , take a tour and get them for $55 a box..... we can start a side hustle, ill go by the balls, you sell them for $500 a box and we split the cash

Cause you won’t fly the left dot 5 yards farther than the left dash or prov1 or the prov1x.  You may prefer the feel, but that’s a feel thing not a performance thing……as stated above.

loads of testing these balls head to head paint a different picture.....especially in wind, so i respectfully disagree

John Candy Reaction GIF

We saw some testing Callaway lefty did, but its wasn’t consistently 5 yards longer through the bag compared to those options.  It was a good test for what it was but limited (3 strikes per ball and the limitation of how equal “good” those strikes are per ball)z

anything more scientific how there you’ve seen? Please post if you have

it’s ok to say you like and it’s the you prefer it to other options, nothing indicates it’s going to improve your scores, particularly if you not high speed and spin.

Normally low launch and spin but between technique improvement and equipment upgrades, I'm better .....remember too ,I'm OLD AND SLOW.....lol

LOL ok my man.  I will be 57 in a couple days.  Feeling the age here.  Dropping X for S in driver and 3w this year.  Too hard on the body and feel I need to swing hard to get the most outta them Xs.  I play a much more controlled game with irons and wedges so have S there - always have.  Big believer in take more club swing easier - I hit more FWY and greens that way.

Maybe I'm an outlier but for you to say score improvement won't happen by switching into this ball 🤔

I'm far from high speed and spin , however the distance gains I'm seeing off both driver and irons is significant enough to be hit one less iron and a club or 2 closer after driver.....

So yeah, having SW instead of 9i has improved my scores, confidence and outlook on the game.

This isn't coming from an IRON BYRON machine .....this is a human that can tell you that the Chrome Tour is definitively longer for me than MOST premium balls .....

Measurements to follow!

Yeah, you get my guy..... those X days left me 20 yrs ago from diabetes 😢

But still enjoy the game albeit a shorter , slower version ......

Regardless,  give Chrome Tour ball and shot .....I'd love to hear your feedback after Saturday.....a familiar track, right?

Applicable however...... but carry on ....no beef

It’s not applicable.  If you were to say this special tour ball that the oem themselves only fits a small niche of players improved your score as a non high speed amatuer it would be the same.

your playing a similar ball to the pro v1, with some specific differences.  Designed for the masses, available at retail.

carried on 🤭

Yup familiar track so I will know how she fares. I know where I usually am on each hole and what clubs I normally hit to get there.

I plan on taking the ball to the practice area tomorrow at my home course, put it thru its paces on the green and pitching/chipping area.  Saturday weather looks perfect (fingers crossed).  70f and light winds.

I'm saying ME speaking of gains with CHROME TOUR is applicable...... your statement about not bettering your scores ESPECIALLY if not high speed or spin.....

All good , we can agree to disagree on this point !

Nobody is saying the chrome tour isn’t the best ball for you.  Sounds like it is.

theres a communication gap here as I’ve never stated you have to be high speed or spin to find A ball that fits you and performs better than another.  Sounds like you found yours in chrome tour.

what I said is a company designed a ball for a certain niche of players ( high speed, spin and flight).  It’s so nuanced that less than 5% (something like 2% if I remember right from the podcast with the Titliest ball guy) of tour professionals fit this ball and get better performance from it than one of their other offerings.  I said that ball isn’t going to improve an amatuers score over one of the other Titliest offerings (or other oem retail offerings).

very big difference.
