Id like to appeal or ask for forgiveness and help

Hi there, I have been on the site for a few years now and have usually never had an issue, I forgot to lock a post from a month ago and posted a new post, paid for it to be pinned, and after it got pinned for 12 minutes it was removed and I was given a warning for having 2 open posts but again, I didn't realize it was still open because I thought I closed it after I sold the last item on it. Now I have forfeited the pin fee for 12 minutes of pin and can't repost it for another 24 hours? Can I please have some kind of forgiveness for this/reinstatement? I haven't violated anything intentionally but do understand it was a violation. Just feel like forfeiting the pin fee and being locked out for 24 hours is a bit harsh, I have already been advised a refund would result in my banning/revoking of BST which after being here for years isn't what I'd want.

Can't help you on the forgiveness.  I look at stuff like that as a "stupid charge."  I've committed my share of things that have cost me money and I usually view it as a penalty because I was "a stupid." 

 

As we speak, I forgot to cancel my Sirus XM last December and they re-upped me at the standard stupid rate and I just remembered.  My bad.  I will cancel and force them to give me a better rate as that is how the game is played with them.  I'm not looking for a credit or forgiveness because I forgot.  Shoot happens.

You've been here long enough (3+ yrs) to know it's never going to happen.  Once a post is deleted, it stays deleted.

I agree with you!!!!!  i have Been a Member since 2009!!!!!!!  i think that the Mod's need to do a better job of helping the long time users that support this site!!!! i have spent hundreds of dollars on BST adds and now wasted time, some have got flagged and i did what they wanted and never said anything. But just today i got to notifications one on an Add that was almost a month old they never flagged, i shut down the post week ago or so, then just went to put another add and Bam, got hit with 2 notifications one on the old post and they flagged the new one for no reason, it is BS!!!!! now i have a Month Ban, Ridiculous.   So i wish they would at least give you a chance..... Nope just take your money and say no soup for you...  AT lease refund my BST MONEY!!!!!

The reason for the warning - not a ban - was given in the other thread you started.  Although, if you keep harping about the injustice you perceive you have been dealt, no guarantees about what might happen.

If you can post here in this thread then you are not banned or restricted.

 

If you paid for an ad or pin fee and was removed after pinning then it forfeited as clearly spelled out in the rules unless the mods decide otherwise. 
 

The mods don’t generally hold hands here.

I think most mods are inclined to give a chance if one is warranted. If a long time member makes an honest mistake and its their only one ever - then sure, I'd think about it. if its someone who yells at you about being a long time member and I click on their warning list and I have to scroll and scroll and scroll to get through it? That says to me its someone who cant be bothered to learn the rules or even care that there are rules. And yeah, I hold longer term members to a higher standard.

 

As far as the money goes - again - mods have no vested interest in whether this site makes money or not so its not like I'm squirreling it away.

 

Personally I think the pinned fee should be at least $25 at this point, it hasnt been raised in as long as I can remember and it might cut down on some of the stuff that hangs out there for a while.

Member since 2009 with 277 posts and have spent "hundreds of dollars on BST ads" with a long list of warnings doesn't scream someone who should get the benefit of the doubt.

Keep raising the price until you see a drop off in requests to pin an ad.  Then you know you've found the correct fee!

Yep Boys i will Cry all i want on this Forum just like every one else i guess only way to get the mods to actually respond seams!  

 

NO seriously, yeah i get it, i sounded like a 15 year old girl.  to answer some questions, yeah a guy is not on hear every day being a keyboard warrior to get my Rep up i guess, so my laundry list of warnings is all you see cause i buy and try golf clubs just like the next guy, and try to sell them.  So it is my fault i do not know all the in's and out's of the BST like the back of my hand.   

 

But if you read in my Post, the real reason i was so mad was i had a post on the bst for over a Month..... it was never flagged, had shoes that did not comply, i messed up and accidentally deleted the content,  went back and realized i had to lock the post instead.  then purchased another add, posted it and then i get 2 warnings Back to Back with in 10 minutes, the second one is a 30 day ban on BST..... so i got a little heated  hopefully this clears up for you guys hammering on a guy

 

I know i went a little deep because i was running a little hot when i wrote my rant,  buuut i do not feel bad because i see MANY pinned ads or guys that have Favor put New stuff, non golf stuff and there ad's never get touched.   sooo a guy just had to voice his opinion sorry i should have cooled down and posted this!

Let's be clear, you were never banned/suspended or you wouldn't be able to post. You actually had no points issued for the second warning where violations were found when the contents of the ad were restored. 

 

BST rules apply to everyone regardless of how long they've been on this site. Report violations if you see them.

Time to put your big boy pants on and realize that no amount of this ^^ is going to change it.  If you spent 1/2 the time reading the rules of BST as you did in this thread, you would be absolutely clear in what you can and cannot do.
