You missed the part where people will say they tried it and didn't like the feel because they're not forged even though in reality they will feel every bit as good as anything else.

I hope you’re right and they look better in person. I wish I could ignore clubs’ bag appeal, because I love the i2XX series of irons — super forgiving, but with traditional lofts and some spin; it’s sort of perfect. The deeper cavity, the sole shape and I assume the lower CG on these are really good tweaks. I bet these will perform awesome. I’ll very likely end up buying a set and entering a years-long love/hate relationship with them.

No they feel like a**, anyone who as flushed a mizuno, t100, blueprint s etc it’s indisputable. The thing is I simply couldn’t ignore their level of performance, particularly forgiveness. Was hoping to upgrade to the i240s but right now the i230s look golden… and as they are cast from them hard steels these will last a long time.

i210 heads are stainless steel, with chrome on top.  The chrome will eventually wear though, but they won't rust.

The carbon fiber is tough… look at address looks like a touch less offset but I’m glad I got into the ZXi combo set rather than waiting for these. I’m sure they’ll be great performers

I get that, after owning a couple sets they "brown" faster than other brands is all i was saying. They tend to look aged older than they really are.

As a ping fan boy, this makes me very sad. I don't know who is making these design choices, but they need to go. 

 

These irons will be around for at least 2 years. Honestly, probably longer looking at the i2xx lineup. It needs to be way more timeless.

431 isn’t hard steel. On top of that, the heat treatment process can have a big effect on how it feels on the Rockwell scale. And the addition of the tuning port also add a softer feel.

Oh, my. Ping has become its own knock-off brand. It's somehow managed to clone its own irons, but badly. Introducing Majestic Golf's new Repeller line of irons: Game Improvement Looks with Tour Inspired Sweetspots.

I’m curious as to how large the carbon piece is.   It could aid in dampening if it fills the entire cavity with the silver(presumably aluminum) part being applied to it.

I dont think these were made for the pros, they have the blueprints. Surely the carbon is saving some weight for more tungsten =more forgiveness. i like the carbon

You'd think a heat gun would get that carbon to peel, but then the back-plate might come with it.

 

When I saw the pic on Page 1, I immediately thought of some Malty KE4 version with black, red, silver-carbon -> a very dated look these days ... IMO.
