MEMBER REVIEWS: SQAIRZ LT Series Golf Shoes | See What Members Are Saying!

Recommended Posts

I tried sqairz and they are not shaped anatomically in the front as they claim.

they plainly pinch in on both sides from the end of the metatarsal to the toes,

the giveaway is shape of the shoes on the inside of the foot.

my Ecco bioms fits better and there is much less squeeze on the toes.

If you want to look at an anatomically correct shape, altra makes some nice shoes.

Thanks so much to @SQAIRZ and @GolfWRX_Official for the opportunity!

Here are some unboxing photos and initial impressions from wearing them around the house.

First off, I do want to mention that the founder of SQAIRZ, Bob, called me to make sure I was set up with the correct size for this testing. I really appreciated that attention to detail and his desire to make sure I get the best and most comfortable testing experience. Next, I want to mention that he encouraged me to test these vs my usual gamer shoes on a launch monitor to get some comparison data. That surprised me a bit as I imagine the first thing skeptics would go after would be whether these shoes actually improve performance. But right off the bat he suggests I put it to the test. I can really appreciate the confidence he has in this product.

Initial impression:

Looks - they have a clean/minimalist look that says “I mean business.” The only semi-negative thing I’ll say is that I think they would have looked a little cleaner without the horizontal white stripes. It doesn’t take anything away from the looks for me, but I think I might prefer them more without those stripes. The white is super crisp which I think looks very very nice and helps the blue really pop.

Feel - They have a very locked-in and grounded feeling right off the bat. I think the silicone lacing system takes away from the looks just a little bit, but is excellent for functionality, which is what matters most for me. I think they have very solid comfort right out of the box and they didn’t feel bulky or heavy, which was a nice surprise. I have flat fleet so arch support is important. I do think these have better support with just the basic insole they come with than most if not all other shoes I’ve tried.

About me: I currently play to a 10.2 handicap, my club head speed averages around 102 mph, and my ball speed averages 150 mph. My swing is definitely more towards the fast tempo and aggressive transition. So, I’m very interested to see if these shoes help me harness some of that lost power. My gamers for the past year are Puma ProAdapt Alphacat spikeless.

Up next: I’m playing in a scramble on Saturday so I’ll get a full round in to test out their comfort, style, and durability. Since it’s a scramble, I’m sure I’ll have several opportunities to grip it and rip it and put these to the test!

Please feel free to ask any questions about these and I’ll do my best to answer!

Thanks a lot for sharing this!

Honestly, that’s exactly why we encourage the head-to-head testing, so you can see for yourself what they do. And I’m really glad we got you in the right size because the right fit is really important to make sure you’re maximizing your use of the ground

Appreciate the thoughts on the look and the lacing system too. We’re always trying to balance style and function, so hearing what stands out to you helps a ton. Always good for us to consider for next year’s iterations.Looking forward to hearing how they hold up in the scramble, especially when you’re letting it rip. Definitely keep us posted!

So first off, I'd like to thank @SQAIRZ and @GolfWRX_Official for selecting me for this opportunity to test these shoes. First right off the bat, Bob from @SQAIRZ is awesome to deal with as has been stated by a couple other testers in this thread. Bob reached out and we spoke about shoes I currently wear, foot issues I have, and we decided to stick with the Pro S2 LT. Well, I got them yesterday, I was pumped to try them out. Put them on and it became apparent that they were too tight, and just not wide enough in the toe box. I sent Bob an email last night at 7:30pm, and told him if he wanted to chat, I was just sitting on the couch watching the NCAA Finals anyways and I could talk. My phone rang about 20 minutes later with Bob's number popping up on the screen. I had emailed him a couple pics and he told me as soon as he saw them that the shoes were not wide enough and I needed a wide shoe. He told me unfortunately that they don't make the Pro S2 LT "yet" in a wide, but they were coming. He is sending me, and I already got shipping confirmation, a pair of the Velo LT-X in the same colorway and a wide version. Bob told me to go ahead and try these if I want, but that he would be sending me a new pair of the VELO and a set of these when the wide is in production. I'll give a review for my initial impressions of this shoe, and then when I get the VELO tomorrow i will do a full review and do some testing on my launch monitor as I am sure that's what most are curious about.

A little about me. I'm currently a 7 handicap, play a couple times a week and most ride, but I do like to practice in the shoes I wear. I have a pretty mild swing tempo, and my Clubhead speed is around 95-97 with a driver. I'm not a bomber by any menas, so if I see some performance gains, that would be welcomed. I'll upload some pics so you guys can all see the other shoes I wear or have worn, but they range from Footjoy Premiere's to Footjoy Pro SL Carbons, to Ecco's, G-fore Galivanters, Adidas 360, and currently I have been wearing the Skechers Prestige Slip Ins in an extra wide. I tend to find something I like and then I buy multiples and all colorways, etc. I think I'm around 20 pairs of shoes currently. I've been battling food issues for the last 3 years, so I was super pumped for this opportunity. I was building my simulator in my garage a few years ago and I was dumb enough to be wearing flip flops while climbing up and down a ladder and I managed to suffer a couple of hairline fractures on the outside of my right foot. Instead of dealing with it the way I should have I ended up compensating for it, golfed, went to Nashville, etc and ended up doing additional damage to my left foot. Long story short, I need shoes with wide toe boxes now so my foot can be flat in a shoe and my toes can spread out evenly instead of being bunched up. The tightness of a shoe along with the existing issues cause extreme issues on my feet. The problem that I have noticed is that my foot basically rolls over the footbed and my foot hangs over the foot bed and ends up causing pain and an issue in general, especially my left foot when I swing (I'm a righty btw). The Skechers I have been wearing seem to do a decent job of dealing with this, and I'm hoping these will do the same once I get a wider version.

 - First Impression

I was somewhat skeptical of the look of these shoes. I prefer a classic, not too busy shoe as you will see when I post the rest of the shoes. When I pulled them out of the box, I noticed that the squared toe is noticeable for sure. I will say that within a few minutes of wearing them and just having them, it was kind of an afterthought. I'm not sure how this will relate on the course, but we'll find out soon enough. I thought the laces were interesting. I noticed another tester said he thought the bumps on the laces took away from the aesthetics, and I think I agree, but I always tie a double knot, I tied these in a single and it seemed super secure. We'll see once we get them on the course how that holds up. I thought the color and lines were nice, classy, and not overblown with loud wild graphics or colors. I think this shoe would pair well with pants or shorts. I was impressed with the pebbled grain on the shoe also. Overall, I really like the look and style of this shoe. It has enough to not be a plain jane shoe, but not too much or too loud for those of us who aren't into that with our shoes.

- Fit

As I stated before, I need a wider shoe. This shoe only comes in the normal width, and Bob told me we needed to get me into a wide shoe, so they are coming. That said, they were tight, but comfortable. I felt like the heel section really holds your foot in place, and I couldn't feel my foot sliding around inside of it (note: they do a bit in my Skechers but I deal with it because of the width of the toe box). More to come in this section as I am waiting on the other pair.

 - Performance

TBD, waiting on the VELO's.

 - Durability

TBD, waiting on the VELO's.

 - Final Thoughts/Opinions

I'll say TBD on this, but I'm going to add this in. I own a small business and the level of communication and direct access with Bob has been sort of shocking. I could have easily seen this being handed off to a marketing person or salesperson, but Bob took the time to call me at like 8pm on a Wednesday night to talk about the shoes. We didn't just talk about these shoes, we talked the process and science behind them, what to expect and what it should help with. Overall, @SQAIRZ has gone above and beyond with me on these shoes. So, I'm really hoping that the replacements are great shoes because I really want to give them a great review based on the customer service that I have received so far on a free pair of shoes. And Bob mentioned the shoes are great, but that his socks are the best around. Looking forward to testing those also. More to come after this weekend. feel free to ask any questions that I might be able to answer currently.

Thanks so much for sharing all this — really appreciate you taking the time to lay it out so thoroughly.

Glad we were able to connect and work through the sizing together. We take fit seriously, especially for folks dealing with foot issues, so I’m happy we could get you lined up with the right model and width. The wide Pro S2 LT isn’t quite ready yet, but I’m confident the VELO LT-X wide will give you a much better feel — and of course, we’ll circle back when the S2 LT wide comes in.

Appreciate the honest feedback on the design, laces, and overall look. We’re always balancing performance with style, and it’s helpful to hear how it lands for someone who leans more classic with their gear.

Really looking forward to hearing how they perform for you once you get the new pair on course — especially with the unique swing and foot challenges you’ve been managing. And yes, you’re right: I’ll put the socks up against anyone’s!

Thanks again for giving these a real test. Keep the updates coming!

Thanks to Sqairz for the opportunity to test these out, as I've always been intrigued by them! Bob, the founder of Sqairz reached out to me and it was great speaking with him. He wanted to touch base to ensure my sizing was correct. You can tell he is very passionate about the game and his product. He was very accommodating and said if I had any issues to reach out to him. It's nice to have that level of customer service and assurances about a product.

I received mine Tuesday and was hoping to get them out last night, but of course it rained. I'll get some time in them this weekend, and will eventually get on the Trackman to get some comparison data. I'll have a more detailed write-up soon, so stay tuned!

Glad we had the chance to connect on sizing before you got the shoes in hand. Making sure you’re set up right from the start matters, and we’re always here if anything comes up along the way.

Looking forward to hearing how they feel once you get them on the course and start putting them through their paces. Definitely curious to see what you find once you get that Trackman data too!

Appreciate you taking the time to test them out — excited to hear your full thoughts soon.

Hello everyone! Leave it to the Californian to be late to the party!!! In my defense, my box JUST arrived less than an hour ago, so I’m hopping into this thread as quickly as possible to share my excitement and thank the good folks over at @SQAIRZ and @GolfWRX_Official for including me in the testing. As a business owner and father of 3…my golf days are more limited than they used to be, but I’ve got a round on the books for late next week so I’ll update this post once I’ve actually had a chance to take these for a spin.

I’ll start by saying that anytime you have the opportunity to connect with the owner of a company; it makes you feel special! That’s exactly what happened after the announcement that I was selected to participate in this testing. The owner, Bob, sent me an email with his personal phone number and requested that I call him to confirm a few details. Without realizing how late it would be for him (it was close to 5pm PST when I called), I eagerly called to meet him and say thanks for the opportunity to test the product. Before asking about my sizing or anything golf related, he spent a few minutes just asking about me. He was so genuine and gracious with his time. As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, I own a business with my wife (I’m a roofing contractor). But, I haven’t always been a roofing contractor…up until 2022, I was actually a Class A member of the PGA and had worked the first half of my career in the golf industry. I’ve had the chance to connect with my fair share of executives in the golf industry, and you can always tell who cares about an encounter and who doesn’t. Bob cares, and it was a pleasure to speak with him about the upcoming test and his company.

About me:

Golf has always been my absolute favorite activity. Ever since I was a young kid, golf was my thing. I’m between 6’3”-6’4” and am your quintessential “big fella”. Strangers’ favorite question to ask me is “where did you play football?” if that helps paint the picture. I work out a few times a week, and am fairly strong, but just larger features across the board. I move it a pretty good ways off the tee…mid-high 170s ball speed. Tee ball and iron game are my biggest strengths…I’m a below average/weak wedge player…decent putter. Currently a 1.4 index.
I usually wear a size 13W (FootJoy, Sketchers) or 14 in Nike. I enjoy walking when I play, but by no means am I against riding if that’s the group I’m with that day. My biggest intrigue with this shoe was seeing if I could walk more than 18 holes without my feet hurting later that evening. There’s an annual Bandon trip I’m super excited about, and that’s where this shoe could really shine for me!

Looks:

I was selected to test the Speed2 LT. Right away, the first thing I noticed was the box and how nicely everything was packaged. Opening the box was a real treat, because I was greeted by a pair of L/XL SQAIRZ socks. Taking me back to my high school and college days in the Southeast where every young golfer wore khaki shorts and saddle FootJoy cleats with the FJ socks that had the frill around the back heel to keep blisters away…these SQAIRZ socks really had me intrigued. There were also 3 postcard-sized inserts talking about the socks, a ladies line, and the brand as a whole. Finally, a really cool message on the top of the box reading, “Thank you! Your order made our day. We hope it brightens yours.” Then a QR code to register the shoes warranty. A small detail; but a really nice touch.
I tried them on, and immediately noticed the square look of the toe. There is a sharp-looking foam on the top base of the sole of the shoe. Finally, the laces have small squares embedded into them. A fun play on the brand, but also helps the laces stay in place as you tighten your knot. Overall, a very modern look with the shape of the toe and the color pattern. I personally really like the aesthetics and have nothing negative to say about them. For me, it’s difficult to compare the look of these shoes to any other OEM. They stand out, but in a good way. Overall, a very high-quality looking product with a unique toe shape.IMG_7003.jpeg.c5f4b72a0626cf2d89e98842cd52d72c.jpegIMG_7004.jpeg.52a39a676aba9fef9927aea7c21ade41.jpegIMG_7005.jpeg.0afd5242babf3a56bfdf9c7a9cd6809d.jpegIMG_7006.jpeg.ac70cf24076df9239b2595f9c15f2365.jpegIMG_7007.jpeg.cc9295ff2f4056100c96a95c98b4b11b.jpeg

Feel:

The first thing I noticed was how roomy they feel in the toe. By no means would I need a “wide” version of this shoe. It fit my foot snugly, yet comfortably, with plenty of space in the toe! I was pleased with the amount of “cushion” that was visible on the inside of the shoe, but also tangible on your feet. The shoes feel extremely comfortable right away. I don’t foresee any “break-in” period like you’d need with a traditional leather golf shoe. There will be much more to report on in this section following next week’s round, but the initial feel is a 10/10 for me!IMG_7008.jpeg.771ec301309dbcd46a3e64046513cf6c.jpegIMG_7009.jpeg.2758bba61c878728bb98df7f3be1f8c6.jpegIMG_7010.jpeg.b20ef10c3aea0fc99f1f5f683f7b2681.jpegIMG_7011.jpeg.d57cffc7684d2ccdfed31f1f5bccdfbd.jpegIMG_7012.jpeg.d318009da49871142fe2a7a65419ff7f.jpeg

Looking forward to reporting back more after next week’s round. Happy to field any/all questions.

Really enjoyed reading this — thanks so much for sharing!

It’s always meaningful to us when someone takes the time to tell their story and offer thoughtful first impressions. Connecting directly like we did is one of my favorite parts of this whole process — it’s not just about size checks, it’s about hearing what brought you to the game, how you play, and what matters to you when you step onto the course.

Love the detail you shared around the packaging and initial unboxing experience — we put a lot of care into those small touches, and it’s great to hear they resonated. And it’s especially exciting to hear how the fit landed for you right out of the box, particularly as someone with big walking rounds like Bandon.

Looking forward to hearing how they hold up on course next week. Really appreciate you bringing your background and perspective to this test — can’t wait to hear more once you’ve had time in them!

Round 2 in the books...

IMG_0219.jpeg.31902588cbde7d0f9537be378f9bc43d.jpeg

Yesterday I walked 18 at a local course that has some steep hills on a few of the holes, with most of the terrain rolling.  It has rained quite a bit this week and it was morning, so the course was wet and dew was present.  They were cutting the grass across the course, so plenty of clippings on the fairways and rough.  On the first tee I got a compliment on the shoes from a total stranger, so there is definitely style points to be had with these.  The shoes held up extremely well for the walk, and I honestly had zero foot discomfort despite walking in a pair of shoes only worn for one previous round that I rode.  My feet stayed bone dry throughout the day.  If I was a nitpicker, which I'm not, the only minor thing I can say is that my feet were a bit hot from the shoes.  That said, I would gladly trade a bit of foot sweat for waterproof and comfortable.  I did notice that despite feeling that my feet were hot, my socks weren't soaked with sweat which tells me they wick moisture very well.  Traction was good through my round, but I did notice the circular molded tread pattern likes to get packed with grass clippings.  At no point, however, did that seem to affect my stability.  I can also say that the tech in my shoes does not negate any of my swing faults, specifically my pull-hook with the driver.  I double knotted the laces this time, and they stayed tightly tied throughout.

The width of the toe box was very noticeable to me while walking, but I think it's starting to become "normal" for me when swinging.  I want to jump back into my Eccos for a round coming up, because I suspect they will now make my foot feel very scrunched and rounded.  My takeaway from round 2 - these shoes offer the support and stability of my spiked Eccos with the comfort and light weight of my spikeless Eccos.  As the honeymoon continues, I am very impressed with Sqairz for my feet.

Post Round Pics: (I banged the soles together to remove grass, but did not wipe the shoes before these pics.)

IMG_0221.jpeg.fcf3e7e28cba5144bd06facd5753cab0.jpegIMG_0220.jpeg.331bbb4bc6d4ae4969b0d8a081120195.jpeg

Really appreciate you sharing this update — it’s great hearing such a detailed, thoughtful recap.

Sounds like you put the shoes through a pretty solid test with that hilly, wet walk, and I’m glad to hear they held up on comfort, dryness, and traction. We know that feeling of a roomier toe box can take a little adjustment at first, so it’s really interesting to hear how it’s starting to feel like your new normal.

Looking forward to hearing how the switch back to your old pairs feels — that’s often when the difference really stands out. Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback!

I put the Velo LT-X shoes to the test today. I played in a scramble but we’ve had a ton of rain the last few days so it was cart path only. So, I got plenty of walking in with these and I got to see how they perform in wet conditions. First off, the grip was incredible, I didn’t feel even the slightest bit of slip in these and that includes 2 holes while it was raining on us. Secondly, I had the best driving round of my life today, and I don’t believe in coincidences. I normally wear spikeless so this was definitely a little

different, but I felt so stable and connected during my swing wearing these.

I occasionally wear orthotics when I golf due to my flat feet, so I tried these out today with the orthotics. They were a little snug at first but once I broke them in more during the round they felt just fine. The toe box was a little weird feeling but not in a bad way, and I can’t argue with the results. They held up great and my feet did not get even the slightest bit wet. I’m anxious to get some numbers with these on a launch monitor!

Really appreciate you jumping in with this update — sounds like you gave the VELO LT-X a solid real-world test today.

Love hearing how the grip performed, especially in wet and rainy conditions where lesser shoes can let you down. And yeah, when you say it was your best driving round ever? That’s the kind of feedback we love to hear. That extra stability and connection underfoot can make a real difference, even if you don’t normally play in spiked shoes.

Also appreciate you testing them with orthotics — always helpful for us to hear how they adapt, especially for golfers dealing with flat feet. Glad they settled in nicely over the course of the round.

Can’t wait to hear what you find once you get them on a launch monitor. Thanks again for the great insights!

Good morning!  I want to thank @SQAIRZ and @GolfWRX_Official for the opportunity to test these shoes.  I apologize for being a day late, I received them on Tuesday and was not able to take them out to the course, and I was at the Memorial Tournament in Dublin with my HS Golf team! I received a call from Bob (the owner of SQAIRZ) and we had a fantastic conversation! He walked me through what he thought size I should get (I normally wear a 12.5, but there are hardly any shoe companies that make 12.5's anymore). He was just a very personable guy and I greatly appreciate that he took time out of his day to talk to me, I have so much respect for that level of customer service!

About Me: I am currently a 7.3 handicap and I am 6' Tall, about 225 pounds. I have a very weird foot because I have a narrow heel, but a wide toe box, so that is truthfully one of the main reasons that I was interested in this shoe! I often times have to order a wide shoe, but it is not always conducive to the rest of my foot. I can often slide a little bit because of the wider heel section. I can normally swing it about 103-107, but I have been dealing with some back issues to start the year so I am probably not up in that area consistently! I am normally a 260-270 carry guy, and then it will roll out a little bit here and there. I play a lot of golf (I am almost 30, no wife, and no kids so that allows me to play a good amount) and I play at the same course for about 75-85% of my rounds. I will be heading out for my golf league tonight to see how the shoes feel and I always walk so we will get a true feeling of how the shoes behave!

Looks: These are a very simple shoe in my opinion but I think that that is a great thing more than a knock on it! I wear mostly black, gray, and white shoes, so I just enjoyed the looks of these online the most! They have some great subtle designs and are just a good-looking shoe! I think that the toe box is not overly wide where it is gaudy or ugly, but it is nice to look down at it and know that there is plenty of room there!

Feel: Like I said, I have not really tried them on other than around the house so I cannot give a full review yet, but they feel really comfortable, while also sturdy! I am normally the guy who wears more "athletic" golf shoes, but I really love a shoe that just feels like it is supporting you when you have it on! I will certainly give more of an in-depth review tomorrow after I have my league tonight, but those were kind of my initial thoughts!

Thank you again for the opportunity, and I am looking forward to trying them out tonight!

Thanks so much for sharing this — really appreciate you taking the time to give some background and first impressions!

It was great chatting with you about sizing, especially given the tricky combo of a narrow heel and wide toe box. We know how tough it can be to find something that balances both, so I’m glad we could help land on the best fit for you.

Love hearing that the design hit the right notes for you. We aim for a look that feels classic but still brings something unique, especially with the toe box shape. Can’t wait to hear how they hold up tonight in your league — especially since you’re walking. That’s where the comfort and support really start to show.

Looking forward to your follow-up once you’ve had some real miles in them — thanks again for jumping into this test!

I was skeptical of the toe box shape, but so far they seem to work for my foot.  I think the Biom from Ecco are fantastically comfortable shoes, and I tried some Altras when I got my Topos, but I've never actually worn a pair to run in.  That said, I have always felt that shoes are an extremely personal piece of equipment, which is why I never strayed from Ecco after knowing they worked for my feet.  So far the Sqairz are in the same level of comfort, but I can also see where the cut may not work for everyone.

So far the Sqairz are in the same level of comfort, but I can also see where the cut may not work for everyone.

as far as I know a healthy foot should be widest at the toes.  Because sqairz is tapered like conventional shoes the square tip really doesn’t do anything.

i realize some people’s feet probably fit them find especially after years of wearing regular shoes,

my hope is that some company,  sqairz perhaps, would release a golf shoe that was really shaped properly for feet.

I've put a couple rounds on the Sqairz ProS2 LT (same colorway as N8dogg3669 so I’ll spare you additional same pics) shoes for a thorough test. Thanks again to WRX and Sqairz for the opportunity! Though I didn’t get any socks

About My Game: I'm 5'11", 220lbs with what I'll call a "dad-bod athletic build" 😂. I’m still pretty active with good mobility and strength at 45. Currently a 7 handicap (typically hover in the 6s) with a driver swing speed around 108-112mph. I tend to generate power through ground force, so I was eager to test how the Sqairz stability claims stack up against my go-to Adidas Tour 360s. I also rotate between Jordan ADG 4s and Nike Victory Tour 4s – love the Jordans for comfort and style, the Nikes are solid, but the 360s remain my gold standard and definitely used most often.

Appearance (7.5/10): The ProS2 LT delivers a traditional look which I prefer but takes me back to the late 90s with that distinctive square toe lol. I was a bit skeptical initially, but it’s really not that bad at all. In fact, many may find the square toe helpful to align for both putting and full swings.

Fit (7.5/10): I have a fairly normal profile foot and am pretty much a 10 in everything (never have a need for wider shoes), but following Bob's recommendation, I sized down half a size to 9.5. They're a touch snug – a 10 would be too big, but the 9.5 is just slightly small. Surprisingly, this didn't impact comfort during play. One nice tough are the laces – they have a coating on them to ensure they stay secure throughout the round. Others have noted it takes away from the aesthetics, but I don’t really agree and don’t think it’s all that noticeable.

Comfort (8.5/10): I typically walk, so comfort is a top priority when selecting golf shoes. These are quite comfortable overall, and really didn’t require any break-in which was nice. I'd prefer a bit more heel lockdown or an additional top eyelet for better lacing options, but that is going to change from person to person. Not a major issue, and I wouldn't hesitate to play 36 holes in them. That said, my 360s and maybe my Jordans edge them out slightly in pure comfort.

Performance (9.5/10): This is where I hoped to see the biggest difference given my type of swing. The stability is solid – comparable to my 360s. No issues whatsoever with lateral movement or power transfer, and the grip is solid. I’m planning to test swing speeds between the 360s and Sqairz at my indoor range (hopefully today) to see if there are any significant differences.

Overall (8.5/10): Tough review since I'm comparing against what I consider the holy grail of shoes – the Adidas Tour 360s. While I'm not completely sold on the square toe aesthetics, these are genuinely high-performing, comfortable shoes that won't disappoint. My main advice: take time to nail the fit, as sizing seems more critical than with other brands. I think those with wider feet will certainly appreciate these.

Bottom Line: Solid performance shoe that delivers on stability claims, just don't expect them to revolutionize your game if you're already in premium footwear.

Stay tuned for Trackman numbers, hopefully this evening!

I was able to get on a Trackman tonight. It was actually great to be able to test the shoes back to back. I will say, I could notice a touch more stability with the Sqairz over my 360's. They're super stable. And that's in a controlled, indoor environment on a mat. I can see them having quite a bit of benefit on the course.

In order to try to be as fair as possible in the test and not let fatigue have too much impact, I hit the first half of my shots with my Tour 360's, then a complete set with the Sqairz, and finished with the 360's. I hit a total of 12 shots with each shoe. My average swing speed with the Adidas was 110.6mph topping out at 112.4mph, while my average swing speed with the Sqairz was 110.8mph topping out at 112.9mph.

So the Sqairz did edge out my 360's on both average and highest swing speed, but marginally. I have always considered the Tour 360's to be really stable, so it makes sense. I may have to break out an old set of shoes or wear some regular shoes and go back to see if there is a greater margin.

I have to say that one of the perks of being a paramedic is that we seldom deal with feet, so my knowledge of podiatry and the ideal ergonomics of footwear is pretty lacking.  The shoe is a good fit for me thus far… could it be better with a nice rounded toe box versus the square toe taper design: quite possibly.  It does seem that running shoes have really evolved in the area of ergonomics, so hopefully this trend carries over to golf shoe industry.   In the short time I’ve worn them, I think Sqairz has a unique product that happens to work for my feet, but I’d never proclaim them to be a magic bullet solution for everyone, your case included.  I’m going back to my Ecco’s tomorrow, which should give me an indication of how much of the stability and comfort is real versus some “new swag” bias.

Thanks for sharing your experience — we genuinely appreciate honest feedback like this. Fit can be highly individual, especially when it comes to foot shape and preferences, and it’s clear you’ve spent time thinking critically about what works best for you.

Our design prioritizes a squared toe box to provide more room for toe splay compared to the traditional tapered designs you’ll find in most performance golf shoes. That said, we know no single shape fits every foot perfectly. We do think that our wider model would be a better fit for you.

We’d love the opportunity to revisit this with you down the line, especially as we continue evolving our fit profiles and expanding our width offerings. If you're ever open to giving a different model or fit another shot, we’d be happy to help find something that might work better for your foot shape.

I jumped back into my Ecco Biom G5s today and rode 18.  I did not notice a significant difference in stability from the Sqairz, but my feet have some soreness which I did not experience even after walking 18 with the Sqairz on Friday.  Today was dry and firm on the course, and I had a really good day off the tee with plenty of distance and no slippage from my shoes.  My takeaway so far is that the Sqairz are as comfy as my Spikeless Ecco Biom hybrid with at least the same stability of the spiked G5s, which is a wonderful combination.  I’m playing on Sunday and it’s supposed to be a bit damp, so I’ll see how jumping back to the Sqairz feels with both the comfort and the stability.  Regardless of any performance gains, the Sqairz are a quality, stable, and comfortable golf shoe for my fat foot.  If you are in the market for shoes (especially with a wider foot), they deserve be in the conversation.

Played at O dark 30 this morning and it was very wet.  I definitely cannot complain about the comfort of Sqairz for my feet.  They are significantly more comfortable than my spiked Ecco Bioms (shown in above post).  Today I noticed my first "issue" with the shoes: the molded tread pattern and rotational style spiked get PACKED with wet grass.  While the Softspikes themselves will get clogged on the Eccos, the outside of the spike still grabs and prevents slippage.  With the Sqairz, the molded sole gets packed and packs all the grass in around the Softspike, which essentially turned them into racing slicks today.  Honestly, they felt like my spikeless Ecco shoes when its wet.  I really had hoped they would give me spikeless comfort with spiked benefits, but the spikes definitely get compromised in the wet conditions.  I may swap out to a different Softspike (I use Tour Flex Pros in my Eccos) to see if that helps.  I get that no shoe will grab like old metal spikes when its wet, but this sole patterns seems to be especially susceptible to clogging.  Other than that, my feet feel great!

I definitely did notice the same thing with them getting packed with wet grass, however I didn’t have the same issues with slippage. They were still plenty grippy for me.

It was only on a few drives, so I’m sure slimy tee boxes were a big part of it. I had no issues other than those drives.

I'll have to try and test that next time the weather isn't great, I'll find a slimy/muddy spot of grass and take a few swings and see what happens. The wet round I played was just wet grass everywhere, it wasn't really muddy or anything like that.

The wet rough and fairways didn't seem to bother me as much, but the tee boxes were fairly well trafficked (they must have used the same tees Saturday because we played at 0615) and we had some serious flash flooding downpours on Friday and Saturday evenings.  I noticed that the extensive curve pattern in the molded sole also makes it a PITA to scrape out the grass with a divot tool or tee in between holes.  I did forget to mention that my feet stayed nice and dry though!

Yep I agree it was not the easiest to scrape out the grass if it didn't come out in one big clump

So let’s start this again. Had some sizing issues and a shipping mishap but finally got a pair of Pro S2. I really needed a wide shoe and the original version I picked just isn’t available in wide yet. So here is a review from a range day this morning. @SQAIRZ

first off they look real Nice. Clean, nice lines, and the laces really don’t even make me notice now. I really like a clean, classy shoe. This fits the description for sure.

fit - so I mentioned before that I had to get a different model because of the width. I will say these still fit a little tighter around where my big toe would be. Overall super good fit. It feels like the shoe is sort of suctioned around your foot in a good way. I think an 11 would actually fit me a bit better but I wear 10.5 in everything else so we went with it. Maybe keep this in mind if you buy a pair, go a half size up.

performance - solid feel. Foot stayed connected the whole day and I hit about 200 balls and did a full chip/putt session. I notice I’ll have a right foot slip here and there just in general, never had one today so that was good.

going to probably do a session tonight on the monitor with the driver. I’ll test these vs my Skechers, Adidas, Ecco, and Footjoys. I have a shoe problem. I’ll post some data.

overall thoughts first trip out, a little snug on the toe, but feet felt great after the day. I know i didn’t play but no foot fatigue at all. I’ll probably use these on Tuesday at my golf league to see how they go through a round.

side note : Bob @SQAIRZ was 100% right about the socks. Fantastic, cannot recommend them more. I’ll be buying some more that’s for sure.

Alright folks…it’s time for the update following not one, not two, but THREE golf experiences with the @SQAIRZ. I say three “golf experiences” because 2 of them were on the course, and one was on the range…however, my trip

to the range was especially fun because I was able to track some specific data as it relates to speed and (ironically) angle of attack.
Let me start with the most pressing issue facing walking golfers when it comes to buying new shoes…are they comfortable to walk in? Listen folks, I’m not just saying this because they sent me the shoes for free…these are absolutely the most comfortable out-of-the-box shoe I’ve ever worn while walking! There are a couple of factors that go into my opinion. First, I truly believe the square toe shape gives me just a slight bit more space in the toe than a standard size 14 Nike or 13-wide FJ. That extra space not crunching up my toes was extremely noticeable at the end of the round. The cushion is also quite noticeable. More comfortable than any Sketchers shoe I’ve ever worn out of the box. Now, that said, I only gave them one full round (and the range session) prior to inserting my custom in-soles. That insert (fit by fleet feet) makes this shoe the perfect walking golf shoe based on comfort alone.
Alright, let’s talk feedback that isn’t 100% positive. First, as comfortable as the shoes are for walking, the shoe laces were slightly distracting for me. When I look down at my feet to check alignment and ball position, I absolutely see the square toe shape. I love this; and it strangely helps me feel like it’s not only easier to align, but also much easier to tell how flared open my lead foot is at address (don’t want to get too Ryan Foxy with it). The other thing I see besides the square toe is how long the laces are. I tighten up my cleats with the best of ‘em; but the standard knot on these, once I’ve fully tightened them, is simply too long for my preference. I need to take a picture next time I play (I promise I will, and will post on this thread), but the laces hang far past the bottom of the tongue and almost reach the end of each side of the cleat. Full transparency, I know that may be a silly thing to complain about, but I noticed it immediately and thought it was worth sharing. I still really like the square inserts on the laces, just think they could be a full 1”-1.5” shorter.

Next, let’s talk about the range session. This has been the only place thus far where I could test actual numbers. I did so alongside my favorite Nike TW 13 shoes that I usually wear when something is on the line. Well, believe it or not (and you’ll have to believe it because I didn’t take pics…I’m not THAT much of a golf nerd) I was actually 2mph faster ball speed with driver wearing the @SQAIRZ. Here’s the funny part…I was also more than 1* down on AoA than I normally am/or was with the Nikes. I had a steeper angle of attack, yet I gained ball speed with the @SQAIRZ. Very fun scientific experiment there. Couldn’t quite eclipse 180, but did touch 179 twice with the @SQAIRZ. My best with the Nike was 176.8. All other factors were the same (driver, ball, tee height…etc).

All in all, I give these shoes a high A grade. 94/100 for me. I have not tested waterproof-ness (or however you would otherwise say that). Don’t know what you’ve read about Northern CA in the late spring/early summer…but it ain’t wet! If these shoes stay as dry as I hope they do, and nothing would otherwise suggest they wouldn’t, I can’t recommend these enough. I’ll also add, I wore the socks on two of the three experiences, and they are tremendous. Will be buying some very soon. Now, if only I can talk my new buddy Bob into sending me a promo code, I might just have to get a pair of these shoes in every color. Even if I can’t, I’ll still be buying more pairs! Congrats to the fine folks at @SQAIRZfor all the innovation they’ve achieved with this shoe. They have a superb product here, and I hope you all have a chance to experience the difference in your feet!!

-Your West Coast Pal,

Cole

Appreciate the thoughtful comment — and you’re absolutely right that healthy feet should allow for full toe splay. That core principle is actually one of the main reasons SQAIRZ was created in the first place.

While many shoes still taper aggressively inward, our patented toe box is intentionally designed to allow more room at the front of the foot, especially across the forefoot and toes. It’s a structural departure from traditional golf shoe design, and for a lot of players, that extra space means better balance, ground connection, and less fatigue.

That said, we hear you. We're always evolving — and we agree that the future of golf footwear should prioritize natural foot shape even more. Feedback like this genuinely helps us keep pushing.

Thanks for taking the time to share it.

Cole

Just an update - I’m now 4 full rounds in with these and I can genuinely say they have gotten more comfortable each round. I now have no tightness with my inserts in them. I’m still surprised each time I wear them how light and move-able they feel. They don’t feel clunky at all and the extra stability of spiked shoes has really been beneficial.

This will probably sound a bit odd, but one of the things I’ve been most happy with is that these spiked shoes don’t leave marks on the greens. I’m a heavier guy (280ish) and part of the reason I stopped wearing spikes was because they’d leave obvious marks/indentations on any semi-soft or wet greens. I was genuinely surprised to see that even in very wet conditions, these shoes did not leave any obvious marks.

I am very particular about my shoes because I have flat feet and prefer to wear inserts. It has been difficult to find shoes that they fit well in that don’t feel overly constrictive and still hold visual appeal. These shoes have absolutely outperformed my expectations and I’ll definitely be trying the wide when they come out to see if they can get even more comfortable.

Also, a note on the laces - I agree with @Cole_Williams11 that they are longer than I’d like and it’s noticeable. Shortening them up a bit would help. As far as the design - I love the functionality of the laces and it’s very effective in keeping them nice and tight. However, it does take away a little

bit of the visual appeal for me. It’s honestly not much, but noticeable enough that it warrants mention. I think @SQAIRZ should consider a slight re-design of these. I feel like the main benefit of having the silicone lacing system would be for the actual knot itself. So maybe take them off of the eye-let section and just have them where the knot will be. That would give the shoe a cleaner look in my opinion. The other possibility would be to lean into the design and add a little bit of color to the silicone lacing and make it pop. To me

it feels like a little bit of a middle ground where it’s trying to blend them in but it just doesn’t.

Lastly, I just want to touch on the socks briefly. I think I may have gotten a pair that slipped through quality control a touch because one sock is quite tight and the other is a very nice, semi-snug fit. I wore them anyways just to try them out and they honestly seem like the perfect golf sock. They have padding in the right place and for guys that like the no-show look, these are excellent.

All in all, I’m very, very impressed!
