RIP Lamkin OG Grips

Long time Crossline Cord and UTX cord midsize player. What alternatives have you guys found now that they will be discontinued?

 

Looks like either REVL element (1/2 cord instead of full cord) and crossline 2.0 cord (once you can actually get it 🤬)

So slick then, not super textured or grippy. That sucks. They look pretty good though.

 

Guess I'll just order more of the crossline + wrap while i can. I love them, but the depth of the wraps can be inconsistent

Just used the Crossline 2.0 myself for the first time today.  I’ve been a long time user of the Lamkin version but decided to bit the bullet and make the switch now.

 

First impression is they are definitely NOT slick.  They are a bit softer than the old Crossline and as mentioned a few posts above they seem to be a hair smaller under the top hand but less taper….+4 wraps on the bottom hand is what they say they are.

 

I'll likely get used to them but I always liked the old versions firmness and durability.

Crossline (original) is miles firmer in compound and also because it has less bottom hand “wraps” of added rubber. 
 

these are closest to the crossline plus Golfworks limited edition (reduced taper, genesis materials). In my experience the grips wore through a bit faster.

I normally hang out in the equipment forum but I made a post about the Crossline 2.0s. Great feeling grip with a secure feeling texture but in very high humidity, can still get slick.

They have basically re released the Ace 3Gen which IMO is a smart move.

 

It looks like the UTx is donezo.

 

I can't speak for crosslines as I never played them.

I think that's a mistake, but most people don't play full cords anymore so I get it. If they can get the crossline 2.0 cords out to market they'll be fine.

Doesn't sound like many positives here, but for me I prefer the REVL Comforts over the CP2 Wraps I've been using for several years.

How are the REVL Comforts when they get wet? I remember the CP2 wraps were awful if your hands were wet or oily.

lol, for some of us that's not an IF, that's an always 😆. The superstrokes have a little more texture, so they should be better I would think.

Haven't really got them "wet", but there is more siping in the grip which should make them better. We've had some humid weather and they've been good, but Northern WI is nothing like down south ridiculous humidity lol.

Lol for sure. I like the Sonars because the fingerprint texture was so good when wet. Hopefully the REVLs are just as good.

it’s inhospitable right now down here in TN.
