Fitting a LAB in person at PGATSS

Don't know if this is old news or not, but I was poking around my local PGATSS like the golf addict I am, and saw in the locked putter case they had this adjustable LAB Mezz putter. The shaft was telescopic with a ruler, and you could adjust the lie angle to whatever you wanted. I got them to get it out for me and I tried it out. The employee unlocked the lie angle adjustment and I set it on the ground and setup exactly how I wanted, then he locked it and then I adjusted the length. After that I took it to the club building area and they measured the lie angle for me. Pretty cool. Pictures included. I already roughly knew my ideal specs from testing putters out, but nice to know for sure. I was at 34" and 71* for anyone curious. I guess LAB is sending these out?

They used to do it like this, I remember trying to use one once and it was broken so defeated the purpose. The video fitting just seems easier for everyone honestly and free.

I didn't hit a single putt with this, I think this is easier to use to dial in your perfect length / lie angle. Which is the entire purpose of the online fitting. Not much else to be done over the internet

They’ve had those fitting putters for a couple of years. I say PGASS is the best place to buy a LAB putter because they take returns under their playability policy.

Some PGATSS and other golf stores have figured out that they will help you think about LAB putter selections, but unless you buy a display model off their rack, they will not order a custom fit lab on your behalf. It is the buyers responsibility to choose to go on the LAB website for a fitting and executing a custom order.
