Scotty Scheffler boring to watch?

Sure, great golf is generally pretty boring. Seeing a guy hit 12 fairways and 15 greens then making a couple putts isn't all that exciting. But that's usually how great golfers play. Charismatic, great golfers like Tiger, Arnie, etc., are extremely rare.

Boring or not is completely subjective. In this day and age of everything being "in your face" and flamboyant, I appreciate someone of his stature that is so grounded and not so caught up in himself and not making every move a freakshow circus like a majority of people would be in his position. I don't understand how people cannot just enjoy this stretch of greatness. Enjoy it while it lasts because it doesn't come around that often.

I dont thinks it's necessarily boring. But he so so damn focused on scoring and not making mistakes so ita hard for me to relate to him.  I would love to have that sort of focus and determination to play well and score. 

Yes so for me it's not so much boring as it's just annoying. I like to see these guys make incredible shots etc. But watching highlights from shorties final round, he made a bunch of huge putts. Juat awesome.

Guy is a blessing and a curse.   There isn't anyone that doesn't appreciate the result and talent.. In the press room he is no less interesting than Tiger was. Which is to say both were completely uninteresting in that regard. Tiger said little to nothing of substance and Scottie gets philosophical....ON course, however, Tiger was the Alpha dog and carried the sport on his back like it was nothing.  Scottie is like watching vanilla ice cream melt.

Scottie is like a machine out on the course on auto pilot most of the time which isn't a bad thing.  It's boring golf, but it works.  His personality is bland which is fine for golf.  My brother calls him boiled hot dog, lol.

I always liked watching Tiger Woods, despite how emotional he got. Despite the high-fiving, the fist bumping and the uppercut punching. I always thought he looked like an absolute tool when he did that. But I was entertained by the quality of his golf.

Tiger seemingly hit shots that no one else could hit…..but then many of those shots generally were the shot after he hit it into trouble in the first place.  Scottie hits those same recovery shots on occasion but much more rarely than did Tiger as he doesn’t put himself into those situations very often.  I am entertained by great performances not the theatrics.

THIS^^^^^. Nicklaus wasn't really spectacular to watch. Palmer was who everyone loved and wanted to win, while Jack was an assassin.

Golf is a serious game. Most watch to see golf being played at a high level, not to see players yuk it up while trying to win a golf competition.

Arnie was definitely charismatic.  Tiger, not so much.  More like undercover narcissist, however arguably the greatest golfer ever.

TM is so proficient at capitalizing on their players’s big wins. What will they do for SS? Plays a driver & irons they don’t wanna sell. (Same w/Rory, so went ball) SS plays a Titleist ball, so that’s a no go… 🤔 Is the putter a retail piece???
