Any major flaws here?

Hey golfers, I’m back again with a little update. I’m just wondering if I’m currently in a position with my swing where I can just stop working on it for a little while, just maintain everything with some drills and follow up with some videos here and there. I’m looking to compete going forwards and I’m really just trying to figure out if there is any major faults that would potentially interfere with my scoring.

Here are some stock 9 irons (usually about 156-158 yards) . I usually have a pretty straight shot pattern, mostly falling a yard or two right of startline. My miss is typically an overdraw that just goes left and way too far.

When your swing has a consistent and known default direction on the spectrum, you have strategies to move it back to neutral, and procedures for when youve overcorrected......youve achieved the maintenance stage. Have this as a goal as you continue to progress.

I will dude, any tips for tournament prep? I’m not currently with a junior program, as I’m going to the US in 2 months, I’m staying for an exchange year

Play in as many as you can. Observe how different areas of your game respond to pressure and adjust practice accordingly. Make as many decisions before the actual tournament, so that youre not allowing emotion steer the ship when playing. Eg. What youll be hitting off the tee. At what yardage youll be going for par 5's in two. What the best lay up yardage and angles into greens. Have fun.

Thank you man, appreciate the tips on the mental aspect too. My dad really wants to join in too, but I’m just afraid that he (as a low double digit hcp) is going to try and coach me like I don’t know what I’m doing at all haha. I’m totally unsure if bringing him is a good idea or not… Like yeah he might bring some good insights here and there, but at the same time I think there’s gonna be a slight ego battle on who’s right, instead of actually having fun and focusing on what to do…

Never too early to communicate with your Dad. Tell him you want to spend time with him but coaching and advice muddies the water where it stops being enjoyable. Make sure you express that you know he’s looking out for you and just trying to help….that you appreciate that (very important)…but it’s ok for him to allow you to feel frustrated or struggle. Remind him that he did raise you and it’s a good time to let you understand and implement the life lessons he’s given you by being given the space to figure it out on your own. Enjoy your time in the States

Back again guys, it’s been a little pause after a tournament heavy few weeks. My mental is NOT ready for it, and i don’t think my goals in golf is to compete. I’m here to have fun, and tournament golf was NOT it haha. Anyway, here is my current swing, and its actually something I’m pretty proud of🫶
