The old Seemore dot v. new

So I am curious how many models Seemore made with their old dot, versus all that have come since that have the dot that's on all of them. 

 

Does anyone know?

Does no one know what I'm referring to? The original Seemore dot was wider - you could see parts of it when looking down. The new dot, you can't. 

 

I prefer the old one as it seems to be more effective. The only model I'm aware of is my "With Ground Plum" and I'm assuming the FGP. Where there any other models that has that wider dot?

I've owned several Seemores ... don't remember there being another "dot" ... but I also can't remember what I had for lunch, so take it with a grain of salt.

Look at yours closely. If they're newer models they're very different than the one I'm showing you

How you can't see a major difference is beyond me...

It looks like the colors, and width of the lines are a bit different, but it doesn’t look like it would make a difference.

Im not sure why you guys are focusing on the color. I've got the same exact putter that I didn't refinish and paint fill white if you want I'll grab that one and show you a photo of that one too

 

When lining up, you can see parts of the dot on both sides, unlike the newer dot where you can't see any of the dot.

I guess people are focusing on the color because we can’t see what you are talking about unless we see them side by side in the playing position. We can only comment on the difference we can see. Don’t mean to be disrespectful, but we can’t see what you see.

Wow. This thread really has veered off. There was an old "dot" and  there is no denying it. All I wanted to know was what models had it, as I don't like the new dot as the face can be misaligned and the dot can still be not visible

Why don’t you contact Seemore and ask them directly.  They used to be very active on this forum.

If you email and ask the guys at SeeMore I’m sure you’ll get a good answer. They are known for their great customer service.

 

For what it’s worth, in the picture above, the first putter is one from their Giant line which have thicker diameter shafts and thicker lines. I know the white lines do not all have the same width as each other even in the non-Giant lines either. Have no clue about the dots, but to me they all seem to serve the same purpose.

Yes they definitely changed the shape of the dot and increased the space at the sides. Principal is still the same but I can see the leeway you’re on about although I never experienced a problem myself.

I've bought a few Seemores through the years with that newer style dot and I found that I could be open or closed and still not see the dot. Not so on the old dot, from my experience.

I think there may need to be more spacing due to the thicker shafts they are using, specifically in the mini giant. But see more themselves will respond quickly if you ask.
