LUMA
*Please move to Golf Balls* I’m am on the search for the right ball and I hope that this may help some others out there. My game specifically could use a lower flight and higher spin. I also like the feel of a ball that feels “lighter” and “hotter” vs balls with that “dead” or “heavy”. I know this can be difficult because more spin equals higher flight in most cases. If I really want to flight it down I can, but I would love a bit of a lower flight with the wedges and irons on my stock swings into greens. Here’s where I’m at and what I’ve tried. Previous version ProV1 - Decent flight but needed some spin with the irons. Feel is OK, not too heavy. 2025 ProV1X - Good performance, but too high. Also felt “heavy”. Vice Pro Plus - Really enjoy this ball. Great spin and great feel, but feel like the flight is a bit high. It’s doable. Question now is where do you guys think I should look? I really want something with that “lighter” feel, a bit lower launching and a bit higher spin with wedges and irons. I’m ready to buy some sleeves and give some new balls a try. Pepperturbo
New Chrome Tour and AVX. I played both. Eventually, neither was for me. I ended up switching out both those balls for the new ProV1. Just a thought, I get plenty of distance and spin out of it. You might consider, for more spin, trying hitting the ball harder with more AoA. I am naturally more flippy at impact which is some of the issue, but I play well and I can flight it down and put spin on it if I need to, I am looking more for something to help with my stock shots. If you find something that answers the questions for stock shots, I look forward to hearing what ball does that, and handles nonstock. I've always found it easier to find a ball for my stock shots, than finding one that handles my NON-stock shots. The only time I try to flight it down is if there a big head wind or I want a ton of spin, or I need to get over a tree and I really launch it. I’m contemplating trying the T150 and going with a spinier ball in the near future. Really looking for that ball that has that lighter feel tho… Edited June 17 by LUMA Quote Titleist TSi3 9 deg / PX Hazardous Smoke Black RDX Titleist 915 F 15 deg / Diamana 70 Titleist TSi2 19 deg Hybrid / PX Hazardous Smoke Black RDX Titleist T100 / Project X 6.0 Titleist Vokey SM5 50/8F Titleist Vokey SM9 54/10S 58/10S Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport

I didn't gain anything other than gapping, trajectory and spin issues, so I pulled out my T100, and had them bent 1* strong. Now, they are almost as far as T150 without gapping, trajectory and spin challenges. Just had new PX Red 6.0 shafts installed, so far, I am a happy camper. I had my 100’s 1 deg strong as well, but didn’t experiment with balls much. Maybe I’ll go back to a strong setup and try out some balls. I’m really enjoying the Vice Pro Plus, but the flight is just a tad higher than I like and sometimes I feel that I don’t trust the performance of every ball. Maybe that’s in my head, but it’s something I think about when using a “budget” ball. LUMA
Been doing a bit of research and I’m going to give Tour B XS a try. From what I’m reading, it feels lighter off the face vs ProV1, spins more, and has a bit lower launch. Anybody try the new B XS over the ProV1? I’ll also report back after I have a chance to play it. I remember years ago I found a Tour B ball and played it for 3 holes before I lost it in the greenside rough and it was an absolute delight to play. I can’t remember if it was B XS or B RXS, but man it felt nice. 1 Quote Titleist TSi3 9 deg / PX Hazardous Smoke Black RDX Titleist 915 F 15 deg / Diamana 70 Titleist TSi2 19 deg Hybrid / PX Hazardous Smoke Black RDX Titleist T100 / Project X 6.0 Titleist Vokey SM5 50/8F Titleist Vokey SM9 54/10S 58/10S Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport

Jdudley13
Wilson Staff model (non x) maybe? Possibly in a higher window than you want though. I have been playing it recently and really like it, my other two gamers are Vice Pro Plus and Z Star XV.

gumpy
Try the Chrome Tour, easily my fav ball and if it isn’t spinning enough for you try the chrome tour x. These balls do not feel heavy at all, i wouldn’t say they feel light either. 1 Quote Ping G430 10k 9* HZRDUS 6.0 50 Callaway Elyte Mini Driver 11.5* 5.5 Ping G430 3 and 4 Hybrid Alta CB S (Ping G430 5w swapped in for the 3h based on conditions) Ping i230 5-GW Alta CB S Vokey SM10 54S and 58M DG105 Shafts LAB DF3 Pro v1x / Chrome Tour

Still haven’t played a round yet, I’ve only had time for a few evening range sessions with some chipping and putting but planning to get out this week for at least 9. I am going to be trying the Tour B XS and the Z Star Diamond. The Diamond may be what I’m looking for so we will see. In the past the Z Stars have had that “dead” or “heavy” feeling, but I hear it’s fixed now. LUMA
Still need a bit more testing, but man, the Z-Star Diamond is a great ball. I was only able to play 3 holes tonight and it was wet after a storm so spin and launch was affected, but I really enjoyed the feel of the ball and it performed awesome.
