I don't think he's getting picked but a lot depends on what he does at Portrush. A really good finish at The Open and there is a case for a pick but at the moment I think it's a difficult case to make. Being a major winner at Bethpage is irrelevant in my opinion but experience, particularly experience of the big time, is a factor in a pick consideration.

I don't follow any of these guys real close but I know they will do quiet swing changes and other crap like that and not play well while making changes.  I got no idea why he isn't playing at the level he was.  I don't think it has to do with playing fewer events or not going up against PGAT competition though as he wasn't really doing that either when he was on the PGAT.

 

To the last question, he probably doesn't.  I just don't know who you put in over him that has not already qualified.

Hopefully some of these guys in spots 10-20 get hot over the next couple of months. But I wouldn't be surpised at all to see Keegan pick another LIV player.

Some-make that most- of the Ryder Cup captains over the years past have had that quandary.  Duct doesn’t see any needle movers and Smash doesn’t see who you would pick over Koepka.  Personally I’d rather have guys on the team that have played well this year than picking guys from a legacy that’s over two years old. Based on their play this year the current 7-9 should be no brainers…Henley, Griffin and McNealy.  My guess is with Spaun and those three that captain Bradley will add a three guys with Cup experience but I don’t see Koepka included unless he’s top 5 or so at the Open.

I'm in the pick the player who is playing the best leading into the Ryder Cup and not the guy who had a good 2024 and a meh 2025 or the guy that did something 2 years ago and sucks now camp.  And definitely don't go with the guy who hasn't done diddley in past Ryder Cups.  Cough cough Cantlay and Burns.

We’ll see Koepka at 6 more LIV tournaments plus the Open, so I think we’ll get a good sense of his game.  I kinda hope he makes it.

Nah, if we’re going that route take Tiger…he won the 2002 US Open there.  I wouldn’t be totally opposed to a Glover pick but a result from 16 years ago would have nothing to do with it.

I think after open we will be talking english harman hoge. Maybe cam young. Still waiting for him go off. So unless brooks wins open he is out.

If there is another LIV player it's most likely Brooks (right now I see it as no better than a 50/50 chance of a pick) but Patrick Reed is still talking Ryder Cup.

Brooks just withdrew after 9 holes at LIV Dallas today.  Haven't seen if he is sick, or injured.
