Cobra 3DP Additions to the lineup.

Was just listening to the fully equipped guys and they hinted the cobra 3D printed MBs should be coming to retail soon (weeks). I am currently playing the regular 3DPs and super excited to see the MBs... My only complaint about the 3dps in the scoring clubs they get a little chunky, especially the PW. 

 

They also hinted at another iron that cobra will be adding (Assuming its 3D printed) that's even bigger than the classic 3dp and crazy forgiving. 

 

Cobra is really on to something here.

The guys talked a little about hitting it and again they couldn't believe how easy they were to hit.

If Cobra can get the look/feel of an MB with more forgiveness, they will sell a ton of these to the better players.

It’s really the spin.  Those 3dp irons don’t spin

I play mine at 2 degrees weak and get plenty of spin. Launch window is higher than I would like but still the forgiveness factor is soooo good.

I am def eyeing up their 3DP irons, wouldnt mind a mixed set with the MB's in the lower and the more forgiving in 4-6

That’s good.  If you go to the 3dp thread there are plenty of people, including myself where we can’t get them to spin enough.  
 

I think they are fantastic if you’re on the higher side of of dynamic loft delivered and probably the iron you’ve looked for your whole life

You can order directly from cobra's website under single irons. I ordered 4-5 irons a few weeks ago

I ordered individual irons in the 3DP. I bought the GW and 3 Iron, so not sure if these are designed to be sold separately.

Yup. We just want a 3D iron that can spin! Wonder if it will always be an issue though with the design, given all the weight savings I believe is used for tungsten at the bottom, which is what makes it so forgiving in the first place I think (i'm not an engineer). Put some micromax grooves on the 3DP or something 😆

Pardon the ignorance.  The spin issues related to the 3DPs.  Is it a launch issue, the ability to stop a ball on the green, both, or something else?

Some people are going to have to bend these quite a bit to get them into a spin window they like, and at that point they may either launch too high or have issues with the turf.

For me it’s the balls speed plus lack of spin leads to iron shots above 9 iron coming in hot.  
 

I think if you on the average to low end of ball speed (120ish or less with 7 iron), these will give you enough height to stop on most greens

I suspect the MBs will spin much more and be much closer to traditional player iron lofts and ball speeds

Any price guesses? I am guessing this is going to be a part of their product line since they have other products coming out that are 3d printed as well.
