Junior Club Set

My son needs a new set of clubs. We are currently looking at the Flynn or the US Kids Tour Series. He will be 10 in a few weeks and is 55" tall and weighs 60 pounds. We did look at Igen, but the cost is just a little more than what we want to spend. He loves golf, and it's time to upgrade. I have no clue what his swing speed is, but I would say it's on the slower end.

Don't overthink this. Get him a USKG 57" set, used if you can. If he's been playing regularly, go with the TS line. If not, go with the Ultralight series.

Replace the FW and hybrid with used Ping Prodi G, and let him cook.

We’ve had great luck with USKG UltraLights for three of our boys (our oldest is 10). Tough to beat.

I settled on a Tour Edge set for my 10 year old when he outgrew his old wilson kids set. They have a lifetime warranty on their clubs and I think on sale it was less than 200. He's been using it for a few months and so far he's loving it.

My son started with USKG Ultralite, were great when he was smaller but def outgrew it. After that went to a combo of Flynn irons / Ping FW/Hybrid, worked great as well. For the most recent set we spent a lot of time demoing the Flynn Forged, USKG TS, and Ping, and for him Ping was the best fit. He is Ping with the exception of driver which we went Stealth 2 HD 12 degrees (turned up to 14 degrees), with the Hzrdus Orange junior shaft, and that combo has been awesome. Ping is more expensive, but the fact that you get a free reshaft as they grow helps.

My oldest went the Flynn Forged route and loves them. Even with the reshaft for the Pings, they are just expensive. We figured by the time we replace the Flynn's he'll be ready for adult clubs and if he's not, we could still reshaft the Flynn's for less than the PING clubs. Flynn also has more wedges lofts available than Ping. Ping's are great clubs and that's what I play for my irons but for now the kids are Flynn fans!

This is the answer. If you find a great deal on a used Ping prodig set then you can pull the trigger on that also, they are just harder to find.

My little ones started with US KIDS UL sets, little girl gave up so not much loss as I find full sets with bag at play it again for $30-60. Son has moved up to the tour USKG set of irons and wedges still sub $100 with bag, irons, wedges, hybrid and fairway wood and found him a ping prodi g drive used on Ebay for under $100. He is loving the whole set now but is a small 12 year old just starting to grow. Dicks had lots of the ping kids clubs to try and thats how we figured out the correct length to find much cheaper than new.
