Fed-X delivered a new GT1 5-wood today.  At lunchtime I compared it to the TSR1 5-wood I played last year.  The GT1 looks like it has more loft, and a little shallower.

this is the ‘normal’ GT1 correct? They’re not make a GT1 Tour 5 wood….are they???

Our local Titleist rep does this with each version of the 1 series, with a 7W.  Using a Ventus Red tipped (purple).  I don't remember the weight configuration.  It's a really fun club to hit.

Same general head shape, and same hosel settings; but the GT1 5-wood looked to have more loft.  I'll hit them side by side this weekend.

My buddy said he hit it yesterday his quote “ at 13.75 loft was the best overall fairway Titleist has ever made”. 
launched higher than the 2 model, with slightly less spin slightly more ball speed but he said the ease of use due to shallowness was next level.

I’m assuming that has to be an error on their part. No way Titleist is putting a 3 wood out at their standard driver length. Titleist website shows 43” as well. 
 

Actually, just looked at golf galaxy and it’s showing 43”. Maybe you are looking at the driver.

Am I the only one tired of lofts being off from what is stamped? I think 1.5* seems a little excessive for a premium brand, premium product to me. I get there are some manufacturing tolerances that will cause slight variations in loft but does that mean there are some 13* GT1 15* stamped heads or all they all 16.5* or more? Confused on how a premium company is that far off on all their GT1 3 woods. You see a Ping drivers that are stamped 9* and lofted between 8-10* but Titleist can't get close on their 3 woods? Maybe I am just too picky 🤷‍♂️

I believe they only do it for the GT1 fairways which are played by hacks like me, who need the extra loft.

Most lofts on  drivers and fairways we have access too are different than the stated loft on the head.  Usually with in +/ 1 degree.

 

ping offers digital loft measurements and most other oems offer tour issue stuff where you ca. purchases an exact measure loft.

You can only get club heads only if your fitter/club builder has a component account and is willing to sell them to you, which is un likely.  
 

in the end buying just the club head doesn’t save you as much money as one would think since the stock shafts don’t cost much

For a less expensive alternative, maybe try the TSR line first.  It was a huge upgrade in performance for me compared to the TSi line.

They seem to be faster than what lead times say on the site and site says 3 weeks. Bet it’d ship within a week. Dealers are supposed to be getting them this week. Might already be on shelves.

If it is anything like any previous releases with any OEM, in SoCal, they seem to release products onto the shelves a little bit more quickly. Local Roger Dunn has some to try out. Don't know if you could buy one yet.

This is probably a type on titleist custom brochure, but they have a fairway adapter for the GT1tour being adjusted by 1 degree instead of .75.  I am fairly certain that's a typo.
