‘25 Maxfli Tour X = ‘25 TP5X???

I haven’t tried the new Maxfli Tour X on the course yet, but will be testing it this week. In chipping and putting it sounds, spins, and feels exactly like the TP5X. Have any of you played both and found the same thing?

To me, the Tour X plays like the ProV1x off the tee and with irons. TP5x to me has less spin off of both, and feels a little softer. Note that I haven't tried the newest TP5x ball. I've heard that the newer TP5x is closer to the 2019 model, which is very similar to left dash.

Thanks. I’m going to test it tomorrow against my other favs, Tour BX, CT X, Mizuno Pro X. It feels a bit firmer than those 3, but if it performs I can get used to it.

I got some flyers inside 150 yards with the TP5x, I definitely find it lower spin than Maxfli Tour X. I liked it initially but then I flew a few greens on really good strikes and moved away from it. It’s a good ball, I’m just a lower spin player anyway so its not a good fit for me.

Was able to eat out today and tried the ‘25 Maxfli Tour X, with my normal rotation of Tour BX, CT X, and Mizuno Pro X. One thing I can say for sure is the Maxfli is long off the tee. It was right with my Tour BX and Mizuno Pro X and on a couple holes was past them. It definitely is the firmest of all the balls but not super clicky. Honestly, for me it’s very similar, or almost identical in performance to me as the ‘25 TPX though the bag. That’s a good thing. In fact, I wonder if that was the benchmark for the new design. A little less spin off the irons vs the other three, but still plenty to stop with just 6-8ft more rollout. Around the greens it’s good with plenty of spin and control. Off the putter it’s a bit on the firmer side, but not like a rock. Durability is really good too. Not a breath of wind today, so didn’t get to test that. All in all, it’s a really good ball. I’ll test it some more but so far it’s good and the value is off the charts.

Need to do some more testing but I was coming to this conclusion as well

I do find the TP5x better feeling off the putter

I do not like the Maxfli x off the putter, feels like a rock to me

Need to test some more only got out twice for 9 holes each time

Will put it into play with my normal group and see but work and weather are getting in the way

How would you compare the maxfli x to the 25 prov1x?

I agree. I liked the MTX off the tee and irons, I didn’t “love” around the green shots, and I didn’t like putting with it. Fantastic full shot performance though.

I have not hit the new V1X, so can’t give you a reply on that. I can say compared to the previous V1X feel, distance, and trajectory were all very similar but it definitely spun quite a bit more off the irons more than the Maxfli. I actually went out for a quick 9 earlier and played two Maxfli Tours each hole. Off the driver it’s good and as long as anything else I’ve tried. Off the irons it’s good as well, a bit lower spin, but good peak height. On mid irons it’s has a bit more rollout than balls I normally use, but still very playable. Off the Short irons for me, the ball basically hits jumps forward then spins back to its ballmark. Our greens are really good as we just hosted US Amateur Qualifying on Tuesday, so pretty good test. Pitching a chipping around the green has a firmer feel for sure but plenty of spin and control.

Been playing the Max 25 x and on a whim bought a box of left dash pv1x and they seemed very similar, i do think the LD is lower spin and a bit longer off both the driver and irons.

Around the greens it was a wash imo
