Fairway wood advice for off the deck

I'm looking for a neutral weighted fairway wood to bomb off the deck.  I don't want draw bias and won't be used off the tee.  I also don't it be spinny (ie:  Ping).  Last fairway wood I used was a m6 rocket until the face finally cracked.

Until I was fit for the GT3, fairways used to be my kryptonite. Now I pull the cover off with no hesitation.

^ agree. Sounds like you like the TM look. I believe the rocket head was 14*, correct? If so, that model was designed to be on the lower spin and launch side of the spectrum. E.g. Better for tee vs. ground. With that said, everyone’s delivery is different and will get different results. One of my favorite 3 woods was the TM burner 2.0 TP 13*. I could crush it off the tee and was the easiest to hit off the ground I had found.

What was it that you liked about the M6 rocket? When you made good contact did you get solid height and stopping power, or did you chase it out there and want to replicate that? Might be the answer is to look for another one on EBay that could be had for cheap (Justin Rose is still gaming the M6). In the newer versions the core model does seem to be very popular as it still has some spin. Good luck in the search!

very easy to hit and goes super long. have the Aldila Rogue Silver 130 MSI 70 shaft and doesn't spin much.

I second that. It does have a taller face, but still pretty easy to hit off the deck. It spins just right for me, low-ish but still really playable.

Love the dimensions and size of the head. It sat neutral and face height was good. Paired well with shaft of choice. I could carry it quite a ways for my ss. Spin numbers were great with it. 
 

previous head I liked with the m2tour 3hl head. Another great head. I just don’t care for the new tm heads.

Makes sense. It’s awesome when you find that perfect fit in the 3 wood slot. I’m still working on it since that TM Burner 2.0 tp. I’d give the bay a look every now and then and see what comes up for the M6 rocket. Callaway Pre-owned, 2nd Swing, and Global Golf are other used sites you could look at. Once found, can use your old shaft. I’d take the old club you like to a build shop or golf store where you trust the tec. Have them measure the actual loft, lie, and swing weight off the old and try to get the new as close if possible (can’t remember if M6 is bonded or adjustable). Might not have the same fairy dust, but you know you’ll like the look.

I ended up getting ai smoke 3 HL and Heavenwood off callaway pre owned for pretty cheap. Ive hit them off a tee a couple times but mostly off the deck and they have been pretty easy to hit and forgiving.

TM is the way to go if you like tall faces (I don't).

 

Cally core models if you like em squatty.

The regular GT1 3-wood might be worth a try.  I just picked up a GT1 5-wood which is ridiculously easy to play.  Much easier than TSR1 and TSR2.

I've been quite happy with my Darkspeed X HF I picked up this year, especially as I could get the same shafts as I had in my driver.  Face is deep enough, but gets good straight launch, and works well off of tight lies.

 

Only issue you may have is it does look a bit closed at address.  If that's your thing (it's my thing as I typically hit a fade with my FW), then you're golden.

Elyte ti is a good suggestion if you don't struggle with launch.

 

The ai smoke and elyte core models are fantastic. Can loft down if they launch too high.

Ping  lst woods not spinny at all in my experience, any cobra ls 3 wood they are rockets.

I hit the TD 5 wood today but not any longer than my 19 deg UW. Had no luck  trying things today. Can outdo my UW and only need it for off the deck.

Qi10 Core is very solid - launched a bit high for me but most everyone I play with these days has the Qi10 3w solidly in the bag and no issues off the tee or the deck.

 

GT3 is very good too - keep getting tempted to get fit for one - friend I play regularly with has GT3 driver and GT3 4w and crushes them both and hits the 4w off the deck with ease.

 

I still like my Stealth+ 3w and 5w.  Just as hot as the Qi10 but spins lower and I can adjust the loft down

Off the deck, avoid a deep face unless you've got plenty of CHS. I have been very happy with my Mizunos (190 & 220) and my Cobras. They tend to penetrate the wind when hit straight or draw and will sit well when faded. FWs, like wedges, must be practiced regularly to maintain proficiency.

Elyte TD or Qi35 Core. Wouldn't even look at any others. Elyte TD step sole they have now is pretty fantastic off the deck

Sounds like DS Adapt LS would fit the bill, though there's plenty of good options in the thread. LS head comes in at 14.5 so similar to your M6 rocket, flew pretty neutral for me, and the new adapter is incredible so you can dial it in however you want. Nice and compact shape down by the ball. Some slight savings over the big dogs too.

I have tried many 5 woods over the last 12 months. It's been the one spot in my bag i've been trying to find a good match for, for some time. I've tried Ai Smoke, Ai Smoke TD, G430, TSR2, Rogue ST LS, everything from new to old. 

Recently picked up a GT3 in a demo bay and gave it a few swings with a shaft profile I would never expect to work for me. Something just seemed to click with it. Love the flight, and seems to be the perfect 230 club for me off the deck. I don't carry anything less than 5 wood because like you, it's rarely for off the tee, and I personally wouldn't be going for the green if i'm further than 230 out.

 

GT3 has a slightly deeper face but gives me more confidence than most of the others I tried. Rogue ST LS with a tensei av white was also a very good fit for me but didn't have as much confidence with it.

As are the other long Smoke clubs the 3w and hybrids
